Job description

NTx is a bioinformatics and biomanufacturing company that advances medical products and material sciences with cell-free, innovative biomanufacturing solutions. The company is commercializing its biomanufacturing systems NTxpress®, NTxscribe® and the bioinformatics platform, DruID, for the discovery of natural products. NTx’s proprietary continuous-flow, fully recombinant, in vitro, cell-free transcription system utilizes hollow fiber bioreactors to support the growing demand for mRNA-based vaccines and therapeutics. NTx’s biomanufacturing processes can easily be scaled to meet fluctuating supply needs so that companies can increase and streamline production as they respond to changing global demands.


We are hiring a Computational Engineer to join our drug discovery bioinformatics program, DruID. Work scope and experience requirements include, but will not be limited to:

  • Work with a motivated team to      finalize and evaluate our Drug Discovery DruID software suite
  • Develop software suites processes      that are fast, accurate and economical with machine time
  • Incorporate Virtual Reality      visualization of compound structures
  • Verify the process using model      targets to evaluate accuracy of prediction
  • Work with company partners in      applying the technology to enhance the discovery process

Experience

Candidate should have experience with:

  • algorithm coding      (Python and bash scripting)
  • Structures of data
  • html scripting
  • NoSQL database      experience, such as MongoDB
  • Maintaining      repositories such as GitHub
  • Experience in      molecular docking, preferably AutoDock Vina
  • Experience in genome      mining and natural product biosynthesis a plus

And have:

  • Familiarity of Drug Discovery, protein      chemistry and structural biology
  • Good oral and written      communication
  • Teamwork work as part      of a highly motivated team
  • Strong      Problem-Solving skills
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced      setting and sometimes changing priorities

Education Requirements
Master’s degree, or PhD preferred

Relevant industry experience preferred
