The field of memorization is growing steadily at various levels, including primary, secondary, and higher education institutions. However, a common issue arises when many students are unable to complete their memorization within the specified time frame or exceed the allotted period. To address this challenge, Akademi Al-Quran Amalillah (AKMAL) has implemented a strategy to support tahfiz students who are falling behind in their memorization progress. This study aims to examine the memorization method practiced by AKMAL in helping students memorize the Quran within a minimum period of one year. This qualitative research adopts a case study approach, with interviews conducted with five informants, consisting of four students and one teacher. The data obtained was transcribed and analyzed thematically. The results reveal that AKMAL’s STP memorization method combines several basic techniques and a three-pronged approach involving support from teachers, parents, and the students' own commitment. Additionally, the AKMAL STP method has successfully enabled many students to complete their memorization within one year. It is hoped that this study will encourage both students and parents to adopt this effective memorization method.

The proof of witchcraft crimes in the Syariah Court poses a significant challenge due to its subjective nature and the absence of tangible physical evidence. Witchcraft crimes are difficult to establish through conventional methods of proof, necessitating expert and non-expert opinions from various parties, including medical, forensic, and psychological experts, as well as Islamic healing practitioners. The objective of this article is to explore the application of expert opinions such as those from medical, forensic, psychological experts, and Islamic healers, alongside non-expert opinions, including specific witnesses, in proving witchcraft crimes in the Syariah Court. The research methodology adopts a qualitative approach by analyzing primary and secondary sources, including statutes, court decisions, journals, books, and case reports, and is analyzed using an Islamic jurisprudential approach. The findings indicate that the use of expert opinions provides a stronger scientific basis, while non-expert opinions complement the evidence through experience and direct observation. Proving witchcraft crimes requires a conclusive and comprehensive combination of expert and non-expert opinions. Legislative recommendations include expanding the scope of both types of opinions and introducing specific procedures to ensure the effectiveness of proving witchcraft crimes in the Syariah Court.
The growing interest in products of natural origin has led to the implementation of products such as propolis because they possess biological properties that are useful in the treatment of various ailments, so it is relevant to know the botanical origin of the physicochemical compounds that provide propolis with its biological properties. To identify the floral sources that provide resources to bees for the manufacture of propolis, several methodologies have been implemented, such as palynological analysis, which, through pollen content, has made it possible to identify the plant species that provide resources to bees. On the other hand, analysis of the physicochemical components of propolis has revealed that phenols and flavonoids are mainly responsible for the biological activity of propolis. Evaluation of the antibacterial and antifungal potential of propolis revealed the inhibitory potential of both Gram (+) and Gram (−) bacteria, as well as Candida albicans. However, all these investigations have been carried out individually and not always with the same sample. Therefore, the objective of this research was to design a methodology that allows the use of a single sample of propolis and uses sufficient resources for different research areas to evaluate most of the physical and chemical properties of propolis, as well as its botanical origin. With the implemented methodology, it was possible to obtain sufficient resources that provided results for each of the research areas, taking advantage of the propolis sample.
Background Lymphatic fistulas are a common complication from surgery or interventional procedures resulting in persistent lymphatic leakage and delayed wound healing. The management of lymphatic fistula remains a subject of debate, ranging from conservative treatment to surgical lymphatic ligation. The implementation of a novel microsurgical approach involving lymphatic fistula ligation and/or lymphovenous anastomosis (LVA) using indocyanine green (ICG) lymphography is expected to decrease occurrence and complications. In this study, we share our experience in treating lymphatic fistula–guided microsurgical treatment. Methods A total of 13 patients from our hospital with persistent lymphatic fistula were enrolled in this retrospective study. Lymphatic fistulas and their leakages were identified and ligated by using ICG lymphography and a surgical microscope. In two cases, additional LVA surgery was performed. Results We were able to precisely identify lymphatic fistulas and treat them in all 13 patients. Lymph ligation was performed in all 13 cases, with additional distal LVA in two cases. In all patients, wound healing occurred following lymphatic ligation, except in one patient due to persistent infection. Patients with a lymphatic fistula were referred to our unit within 3 weeks to 1 year after onset, with an average consultation occurring after 5 months of persistent lymphatic fistula. Conclusions Targeted lymphatic vessel ligation with or without LVA with ICG-guided surgical microscope represents a promising highly efficacious therapy for persistent lymphatic fistula. This technique may accelerate wound healing and reduce hospitalization duration, thus advocating for its preferential use in managing lymphatic fistulas.
Spiritual intelligence plays a role in determining the direction of youth life as well as a way of life in carrying out what Allah SWT has commanded and being a fortress from doing things that are forbidden. In this developing age, it is seen that social problems among the youth, especially at the level of adolescent youth, are getting worse, causing concern among the community. The results of previous studies found that the spiritual intelligence of youth has been done at various demographic levels. The results of previous studies show that there are differences based on demographic factors, for example, youths who attend religious schools have a higher level of spiritual intelligence than youths who attend regular schools. Thus, this study was conducted empirically to look at the differences in the level of spiritual intelligence of youth based on demographic factors. The respondents of this study are youths who have participated in the Program Latihan Khidmat Negara (PLKN) in session 1 of 2017. A census of 641 respondents was conducted on six PLKN camps in the Northern Zone. A quantitative study was conducted by distributing questionnaires as an instrument to obtain research data. Next, the data were analysed using descriptive statistics using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The results show that the level of spiritual intelligence of a youth is different based on certain demographic characteristics such as gender, type of secondary school, secondary school category, age of beginning to know religion, age of beginning to learn prayer, and also the location of youth residence. Therefore, the results of this study can be used as a guide in implementing a plan to improve the spiritual intelligence of youth by taking into account the demographic characteristics that have significant differences based on the level of spiritual intelligence of youth.

Grounded in the intersections of culture, gender and occupation, this paper explores the challenges and barriers faced by “elite” Pakistani women working in a journalistic profession steeped in male dominance shaped by patriarchal values. One-on-one in-depth interviews were conducted with nine highly experienced women journalists from television, radio, digital and print media. The findings reveal a range of occupational hazards confronting women journalists in Pakistan: (i) Pervasive exclusion and discrimination relegating women to soft news beats and imposing hard glass ceilings’ hindering career progression; (ii) Systemic income disparities and job precarity, emphasizing pronounced economic disadvantage for female journalists; (iii) Instances of sexual and emotional harassment at the workplace; (iv) Prevalent online public harassment and cyberbullying; and (v) Psychological stressors arising from the trauma of harassment compounded by the stigma of seeking psychological help. These findings underscore the critical interplay of gender and culture within the journalism profession, accentuating not only employment disparities but also exclusion, discrimination, and harassment. These factors not only obstruct career advancement but also inflict psychological trauma.
