This study investigated the mechanical and physical properties of hybrid composites made with nylon fiber mesh (N), woven glass fiber (G), and unsaturated polyester (UPE) resin filled with different oxide ceramic particles (CPs) (ZnO, Al2O3, ZrO2, and TiO2). The influence of the stacking order of N and G (GGNNGG, GNGGNG, NGGGGN, and NNGGGG) on the mechanical properties of the composites was also studied. The goals of this study are to determine the best CP and stacking sequence for enhancing composite properties (flexural and impact properties) and reducing water absorption. The composites were manufactured in two steps using hand lay-up and press molding techniques. The first step involved fabricating N/G/UPE-2%CPs composites with a ratio of 8:14:78 (vol%) and a GNGGNG stacking sequence, referred to as type 1. In the second step, a composite with optimum properties obtained from type 1 was used as a reference and compared to composites with three different stacking sequences of GGNNGG, NGGGGN, and NNGGGG, known as type 2. The three-point bending, Charpy impact, and water absorption tests were conducted. The results revealed that the mechanical properties of N/G/UPE-2Al2O3 and N/G/UPE-2ZnO composites are nearly identical and higher than the others. However, N/G/UPE-2Al2O3′s water absorption is lower than that of N/G/UPE-2ZnO. These results suggest that the N/G/UPE-2Al2O3 composite, with a GGNNGG stacking pattern and a flexural strength of 125.12 MPa, an impact strength of 84.2 kJ m⁻², and a low water absorption of 0.56%, could potentially serve as biomaterials.
El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) affects climate patterns, leading to increased temperatures, high evaporation rates, and reduced precipitation in affected regions. This affects the amount of surface flow that keeps many rivers from moving until they dry up. This is also happened in Winongo, Code and Gajahwong rivers located in Yogyakarta Province. Stagnant water can affect water quality due to immobile water pollution. This study monitors river water quality by assessing Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Potential Hydrogen (pH), and Ferrum (Fe) levels. Water samples were collected from the upstream, midstream, and downstream sections of the Winongo, Code, and Gajahwong rivers to assess water quality. This approach helps identify pollution sources, understand spatial variability, and develop effective water management strategies.. Results indicate that the Winongo River had the highest Dissolved Oxygen (DO) level of 2.4 mg/L in the downstream section. The Code River had the highest pH of 8.1 in the upstream area, while the Gajahwong River showed a stable Iron (Fe) concentration of 2.5 mg/L. According to government regulations, the water quality in all three rivers is suitable only for irrigation purposes.

Expansive clay is a problematic type of soil because it has large shrinkage properties. One action that can be taken to improve problematic soil is to stabilize it with additives such as lime, cement, RHA, fly ash, and GGBS. The results of stabilization using additives like this can increase the strength value of clay soil. Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) have been introduced in the geotechnical field to predict different soil properties. This research develops an artificial neural networks model to predict the Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) value of soil that has been stabilized, this is because the artificial neural networks model can show superior prediction results due to its flexibility and adaptability in generating data. The amount of data in this test was 420 and was divided into 336 training data and 84 testing data. In carrying out the training phase, 13 inputs were used in the form of granulometric test results, and in the testing phase, data from soil-free compression tests in the laboratory were used. The result of this research is that the use of the artificial neural networks model can predict the soil unconfined compressive strength value accurately because it gets a coefficient of determination value of 0.99229 which is almost close to number one.
This study employs the Stuart Hall model to analyse masculinity representations in BTS music videos from 2013 to 2021, examining their impact on the purchasing behaviours of the band’s predominantly female Indonesian fanbase. Through qualitative analysis involving five female fans, the research focuses on their perceptions of BTS’s videos, especially from their debut until the latest release before their conscription. Despite the assumption that female fans significantly drive sales through impulsive purchases in support of their idols, findings reveal that the varied masculinities portrayed do not substantially influence their buying decisions. Instead, these decisions are needs-based, indicating a pragmatic approach to consumerism. This research contributes to discussions on media influence, gender representation, and consumer culture, challenging the prevailing belief that fan purchasing is mainly driven by media portrayals and idol loyalty. It underscores the complex interplay of fan engagement and economic contribution in global pop culture, offering new insights into the dynamics of media consumption and fan behaviour.
