1: Two [nodes] functions with weights. Depending on the placement of the cursor, each of the "blobs" will contribute different weights depending on area of activation. The cursor can be automated or user controlled and can effectively control relative amplitudes of sound sources in an encoded soundfield or loudspeakers placed in a listening space.
