Trends in the Food–Energy–Water (FEW) Index and its subindexes over 2015–2019, by region. The left and right boundaries of the box in each plot represents the first and third quartiles of the data respectively, while the line inside the box represents the median of the distribution. Outside the box, the left and right ‘whiskers’ represent the minimum and maximum values in the distribution that are not considered outliers. In some of the plots, there are dots beyond the whiskers that represent outlier values.
