Digital preservation has now become a key activity in every library and information center due to proliferation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and advancement of Internet technologies. The availability of Open Source Software, training at desired time and market demand has revolutionized the creation of digital libraries. Digitization and preservation of readily available resources are common practice but creating digital library of cultural heritage and handicraft materials is still in the novice stage. This paper discusses the creation of digital library of traditional handicraft designs originated from Himachal Pradesh. This paper discusses the tools and techniques of creating a digital library of the handicraft design, which shall be beneficial for the users and fashion designers to look at the creativity of the past, which are still alive in the form of handicraft.
