div style="text-align: start;" align="center"> The fast emerging of internet of things (IoTs) has introduced fog computing as an intermediate layer between end-users and the cloud datacenters. Fog computing layer characterized by its closeness to end users for service provisioning than the cloud. However, security challenges are still a big concern in fog and cloud computing paradigms as well. In fog computing, one of the most destructive attacks is man-in-the-middle (MitM). Moreover, MitM attacks are hard to be detected since they performed passively on the network level. This paper proposes a MitM mitigation scheme in fog computing architecture. The proposal mapped the fog layer on software-defined network (SDN) architecture. The proposal integrated multi-path transmission control protocol (MPTCP), moving target defense (MTD) technique, and reinforcement learning agent (RL) in one framework that contributed significantly to improving the fog layer resources utilization and security. The proposed schema hardens the network reconnaissance and discovery, thus improved the network security against MitM attack. The evaluation framework was tested using a simulation environment on mininet, with the utilization of MPTCP kernel and Ryu SDN controller. The experimental results shows that the proposed schema maintained the network resiliency, improves resource utilization without adding significant overheads compared to the traditional transmission control protocol (TCP). </div

A large number of farms in developing countries are smallholder farms. In China, this trend is expected to persist for the foreseeable future. However, smallholder farmers in China face several challenges, including excessive fertilizer use for higher yields, low levels of education, aging and limited credit information. Moreover, they are struggling with a digital divide, which hampers their agricultural productivity and limits their economic and social integration. Agricultural services based on information and communication technology (ICT) can bridge the digital gap, but are hindered by complexity and cost. Aiming at serving the numerous smallholders and building a sustainable digital ecosystem, this paper presents a distributed agriculture service system that provides decision support to farmers by considering both social and physical information. The system is lightweight, low cost and intelligent, managing personnel, plots, crops and equipment using technologies such as wireless sensor networks, cloud computing and distributed systems architecture. Services include crop planning, production guidance, equipment control, etc. User terminals include computers, mobile applications and Applets. A case study on fruit production in a typical solar greenhouse illustrates the system's functionality. The distributed agricultural services system can well support smallholder farmers and promote sustainable agriculture.

Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) make it possible to perceive, collect, share, consolidate and revise information from multiple smart devices through the design of smart objects as agents within the Internet of Things (IoT) systems. Although multi-agent systems and related tools significantly change the paradigms used in systems optimization, the existing literature on MAS is not sufficient to explain modern distributed computing methods describing enhanced collaboration of IoT devices. This article presents comprehensive research that explains how smart objects such as sensors, smartphones, and data centers in IoT will affect the system's performance if they are integrated with MAS technology. In this context, general information about MAS and IoT technologies, the importance of interoperability in MAS, and how multi-agent technology can be used for various purposes, from capturing sensor data to decision making, specific to manufacturing systems, are explained. Afterward, technical, semantic, syntactic, and platform interoperability approaches that will enable communication and interaction of smart objects in IoT systems and how MAS can contribute to the establishment of these collaborations are expressed. Finally, it is presented how agent-based interoperability models affect the system's performance with a centralized and decentralized approach, specific to the manufacturing sector. The research has revealed that multi- agent systems can be integrated into each layer of the IoT, and in this way, it can increase the effectiveness of IoT in many areas from information security to efficient use of energy, from routing to increase system efficiency.

Thesis

With the economic construction of human cities entering the era of Internet of Things, people can better build cities, make better use of information resources, and put forward high requirements for smart city environmental design. However, there are serious problems in the construction of smart cities due to the problems of talents, technology, energy, and capital in urban construction. Therefore, in the era of Internet of Things, urban construction needs to take the Internet of Things as the foundation of intelligent construction and constantly form an optimized processing model of urban construction through intelligent excellent methods and the association of all things. In this paper, the smart city of Internet of Things is taken as the research point, and the urban population density and public infrastructure are taken as the optimization objects. The population of four districts in the city is taken as the research object. The population density under 18 years old accounts for 25% of the whole city, the population density between 18 and 65 years old accounts for 41%, the population density over 65 years old accounts for 34%, and the population density over 18 years old accounts for about 80% of the population density in the East District and South District. The research results show that under the premise of population and infrastructure, adding medical and recreational resources can rationally allocate and optimize resources, thus improving the utilization rate of public resources.
