One of the most common image features used in machine vision are edges, and there is a substantial body of research oil various techniques for performing edge detection. Edges are useful in many applications as image comparing, recognition and other. Here is presented edge detection method with subpixel accuracy. Method is based on decision that di...

Compounding is present in a large variety of languages in different proportions. Compound rate in the text obviously depends on the language, but also on the genre and the domain. Scientific and technical texts are especially conducive to compounding, even in the languages that are not traditionally admitted as highly compounding ones. In this arti...

Today, the use of digital videos instead of analog ones has become much popular due to their easy recordability and low-cost storage. Hence, huge amount of digital video archives have come about. The meaningful search in a video has been an important demand in order to fast access the video database. While the standard picture and text searching methods cannot be used in a digital video, the video indexing has become a popular interest, and lots of researches have been done in this field. In this study, an implementation of a new video parsing algorithm design for uncompressed videos is presented. Through the investigation of the parsing algorithms in the existing literature, lacks of these algorithms were defined and a new method for achieving high performance was proposed. It is determined that the proposed method is much better than the other algorithms considering the computational overhead and the performance. A new digital signature based method for image authentication and pixel-wise tamper localization is proposed. The proposed method is resistant to image content preserving enhancement operations such as blurring or sharpening. Authentication function is implemented separately from tamper localization both to increase processing speed and to disable algorithmic oracle attack.
V. Vysniauskas. Anti-aliased Pixel and Intensity Slope Detector H Electronics and Electrical Engineering. - Kaunas: Technologija, 2009. - No. 7(95). - P. 107-110. Each image dot can be associated with some image part, for example line, area where intensity changes or area with constant intensity. Image processing use these image parts. Image transferring into the digital domain in any words image digitizing, because of finite dot (pixel) size some pixels are partly closed with light and dark area. These pixels are called anti-aliased. Frequently these pixels are unwanted or impede to extract edge or blur magnified image or ripple edge in shrink image. When it is possible to detect that pixel, different algorithm can be applied for processing and image quality can be increased. A method to detect anti-aliased pixels and pixels which intensity change continuous (slope) is presented. Ill. 7, bibl. 5 (in English; summaries in English, Russian and Lithuanian).
