The paper addresses the problems of accommodation of migrant workers in Moscow at the present stage. The authors offer specialized dormitories with certain planning parameters aimed at achieving balance between the maximum cost effectiveness and creation of adequate living and working conditions for migrant workers. The paper is focused on possible principles of planning organization of dormitories for migrant workers in Moscow. It contains recommendations on supplementing the RF regulatory framework with regard to organization of temporary accommodation houses and practical suggestions on designing such dormitories. These suggestions allow considering organization of the specialized dormitories for migrant workers both as new construction and in the existing city architectural environment by reconstruction of the existing residential buildings. The prospects of using the suggested temporary accommodation houses for migrant workers in megalopolises are addressed as well.
