Inflorescences and flower morphology in Tridimeris. a Basic morphology of the flowers and inflorescences, flowers generally solitary, pedicels with one or more minute bracts at the base and sepals fused with ciliated margin (T. globosa). b Flowers of T. sect. Tridimeris, bracts, peduncles and sepals densely covered with short hairs. c Inner petals of T. huatuscoana, long, aristate petals with a more or less triangular opening (food body) at the base inside. d Inner petals of T. nebulosa, petals deltoid with a more or less linear opening (food body) at the base inside. e Flowers of T. sect. Zoque, bracts, peduncles and sepals glabrous or nearly so. f Inner petals of T. tuxtlensis, petals lanceolate or linear-triangular, obtuse to rounded at the tip, margin ciliate, with a more or less triangular opening (food body) at the base inside. G Inner petals of T. chiapensis, petals lanceolate or linear-triangular, obtuse to acute at the tip, margin ciliate, with a more or less triangular opening (food body) at the base inside.
