Here is the new power unit, which is connected to the prototype of the azimuth thruster, forming in this way a Z-drive configuration, when the hand wheel forms an L-drive one. 
This power unit has interesting features, such as continuously adjustable height of the axis of the motor (from 30 mm up to 140 mm), adjustable speed and sufficient torque, as well as a USB port for data I/O.
