... every roundabout or 4-way junction, bars are added for every pair of roads. When the 1st pair of opposite lanes are open, a bar will come down in parallel to these opposite lines to prohibit the right turn because this right turn create unnecessary traffic in the midpoint, and the vice-versa is applied in the other pairs of opposite lanes (see Figure 6). Here we meditate the threshold of the time is 120seconds for each pair of lanes in a 4-way junction. ...

Perimeter control prevents loss of traffic network capacity due to congestion in urban areas. Homogeneous perimeter control allows all access points to a protected region to have the same maximal permitted inflow. However, homogeneous perimeter control performs poorly when the congestion in the protected region is heterogeneous (e.g., imbalanced de...

The main factor in the airline transport service being the reason for the choice is the place and time benefit it provides. Delays are negative situations that disrupt the time utility, reduce airlines' profits, cause congestion trouble and disrupt tariff plans. The first part of the study consists of information about delays and fundamental issues...

The traffic from the large number of IoT devices connected to the IoT is a source of congestion known as the Massive Access Problem (MAP), that results in packet losses, delays and missed deadlines for real-time data. This paper reviews the literature on MAP and summarizes recent results on two approaches that have been designed to mitigate MAP. On...

Due to rapid population growth, traffic congestion has become one of the major issues in urban areas. The utilization of technology may help to address this issue. This paper proposes a new Multi-head Self-attention Vision Transformer (MSViT) based macroscopic approach, for road traffic congestion classification. To evaluate this approach, we use t...

Economic effects are just one of the many effects of the massive infrastructure investment in Indonesia made over the past ten years. The aim of connecting Indonesia between regions is the basis for massive infrastructure growth, especially toll road infrastructure. Several funding schemes have been implemented to build toll road infrastructure, including the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) financing scheme. This PPP financing scheme was also implemented in the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road construction. Therefore, this research attempts to capture the impact of the construction of the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road with a PPP scheme on the formation of the economic structure in East Kalimantan province using the Input-Output (I-O) table. The investment value for the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road is IDR 9.97 trillion was injected (shock) into gross fixed capital formation in the construction sector. The calculation results in this research show that the construction of the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road contributed 9.8% of total demand. Apart from that, there is a significant impact on the economic structure of East Kalimantan Province, as seen from the expenditure multiplier figure with an output total of IDR 15,111 billion, a total income of IDR 2,471 billion, and a total workforce of 25,095 workers due to investment in the construction of the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road.

Medicine counterfeiting has raised significant concern in recent years. Falsified and counterfeit drug production and distribution are illegal and a public health concern. The intensity of this problem varies significantly among different countries, depending on how strongly a country’s laws and procedures are followed. Preventing counterfeit medicines has thus become a critical concern, especially in developing and underdeveloped countries. This research aims, firstly, to outline the possible factors of medicine counterfeiting; secondly, to propose a blockchain-based framework to prevent medicine counterfeiting; and thirdly, to evaluate the proposed framework. A content analysis and a semi-structured interview with the key personnel related to the medicine manufacturing and distribution system in Bangladesh were carried out to derive the current scenario of medicine counterfeit. Based on the interviews and content analysis, a set of use cases for preventing medicine counterfeiting in the context of Bangladesh was explored. The required features for developing a digital solution were extracted considering the derived use cases. A blockchain-based framework for preventing medicine counterfeit was proposed by adopting the extracted features. A prototype was developed based on the proposed framework, and an evaluation study was performed to evaluate the prototype. The evaluation study showed that the average block execution time is 201 ms, and the average block time is 482 ms. Again, the proposed framework was found secure, scalable, customer-oriented, and practical compared to other systems.
