This report describes the work conducted at the Library of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, using a systemic perspective to analyze and organize the Professor Rogério Nunes Collection, accumulated by Rogério Silva de Sousa Nunes (1920-2000) and his wife Adriana Barreiro de Sousa Nunes (1921-2012). It also highlights the different potentialities of information treatment according to this epistemological model, in a systemic manner, listing future lines of action and suggesting alternative ways of disseminating the identified contents that are of interest to the History of Science. The information, related mostly to their academic and scientific careers, was described at document level, while the library was registered and analyzed as a source of information. The physical supports were treated and properly archived. Concurrently, research was developed to scrutinize and add information and allow the establishment of biographical contexts. Rogério Nunes, as a professor and researcher, was an extremely diligent man with interests spanning various areas of scientific and technological knowledge, having pioneered some of them. Adriana Nunes, as a teacher and author, influenced by the English teaching method Nuffield, pursued the development and modernization of schooling in Portugal. The systemic organization of the Collection gave rise to an organic-functional representation, depicting the different stages of their lives, and establishing internal connections between the different elements that form the information system. Links to other external systems were also established, conducive to the identification of several additional lines of research. This report aims to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge about Rogério and Adriana Nunes by gathering a set of parameterized information to be made available to the academic community and the general public, promoting the forgotten paths in science and technology in Portugal.
