Figur 2.

Background
Clinical studies have shown an association between long-term anticholinergic (AC) drug exposure and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathogenesis, which has been primarily investigated in Parkinson’s disease (PD). Introduction:Antipsychotics are the main pharmacological treatment for psychosis. Anticholinergic drugs are sometimes prescribed with antipsychotics to treat or as prophylaxis for extrapyramidal side effects. Antipsychotic treatment guidelines recommend that anticholinergics should not be prescribed indiscriminately as prophylaxis for extrapyramida...

The report describes new discoveries of different plants and fungi in Sunnhordland and Nord Rogaland, Western Norway in 2013-14. A total of 14 localities in the municipalities of Stord, Tysnes, Bømlo and Rennesoy are described, where 11 are new and three are examined earlier. It resulted in 70 new discoveries of 43 different species listed on the Norwegian red list. More than half of the species are vulnerable (VU) and endangered (EN). Most of the redlisted fungi are found in cultural landscapes, but also some rare species from deciduous forest were found. When it comes to the municipality of Stord, 11 of the species are not found here previously. For the municipality of Tysnes, seven species were new including the rare vascular plant Zostera noltei. A new locality for the orchid Cephalanthera longifolia was also found here. The report is the fourth in a series that describes the biodiversity of plant and fungi in Sunnhordland. It also gives a summary of rare and red-listed species of fungi that has been found here the last 12 years compared with what was previously known.

From 2007 and till today several new locations of Isolepis setacea have been found in Sunnhordland. One
reason is that there has been an intensive investigation of cultural landscapes the last years. In 2013 the biggest known occurrence of Isolepis setacea in Stord was destroyed by covering it with huge amounts of stones and gravel by a construction machine. In 2014 a local group of The Norwegian Botanical Association made an attempt to reestablish the locality by trying to remove the stones and gravel from the area. The year 2013 had been a year with huge flowering of the species, which maybe was one of the reasons the rescue apparently
has been successful. In 2014 several tussocks of Isolepis setacea were observed in the spoiled locality.
The cultural landscape in the western part of the island of Spyssøya in the municipality of Bømlo is unique in containing a large number of red-listed vascular plants, oceanic lichens and mosses, and grassland fungi. The locality is a mosaic of steep hills with deciduous forests surrounding patches of old grasslands and steep vertical rocks towards the sea. The open grasslands are grazed by an ancient Norwegian race of sheep throughout the year. Many of the species growing here have a south-western distribution. In total, 44 red-listed species are found in the area, seven vascular plants, six lichens, one moss, and 30 grassland fungi. A total of 29 of these are placed in the red-list categories of vulnerable (VU) or endangered (EN). The locality has been surveyed several times during the last 12 years with Asbjørn Knutsen playing a central role.

This report is an attempt to provide an overview of all red-listed species known from the municipalities of Stord and Fitjar, based on the last Norwegian Red List of 2015 and survey made by the author. In addition, some general information about the nature of South-Western Norway and rare and red-listed habitats found in the two municipalities, are included.
Many species in the report are presented with pictures, and most species have distribution maps and links to the Red List. Species that are found before 1990 and not been registered in later years, are not included in the overview, with some exceptions within the vascular plants.
There is no guarantee that something is not excluded, but the outline is based on own research and search in available databases. Today totally 142 red-listed species are known from the two municipalities; 25 vascular plants, 52 fungi, 28 lichens, 7 mosses, 1algae, 19 birds, 3 fishes, 2 mammals and 5 invertebrates. The knowledge of the diversity of fungi and lichens has increased significantly in recent years due to intensive survey, while other groups like invertebrates probably are underrepresented because of deficient mapping.
Natural grasslands are environments in strongdecline all over Europe. Many grassland fungi are sensitive both to the application of artificial fertilizers and reduced grazing. Many grassland species are therefore listed on the national red-lists of different countries. In September 2008, during two days of fieldwork in the municipality of Karmøy in the county of Rogaland, 39 different grasslandfungi were found. Nearly all the species (36) were new to the area. A number of 11 of the species are on the Norwegian red list, and three of them are listed as ”endangered” (EN). Hygrocybe canescens, which was found in the locality Åkresanden, is very seldom and found in only four localities in Norway before. The same go for Geoglossum difforme, which is known from seven localities, and Geoglossum uliginosum also known from seven localities. In all 20 different vaxcaps (Hygrocybe), eight earth tongues (Geoglossaceae), eight Entoloma species, one Clavulinopsis species, and two other species were found.
