This article is a systematic review on the topic of neurogenic sexual dysfunction. A systematic evaluation of the English-language literature up to 2024 was conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The literature review focused on the following areas: sexual function regulation, neurogenic sexual dysfunction, and neurogenic erectile dysfunction. The review demonstrated that in patients with central nervous system (CNS) disorders, neurological and urological diagnostics are recommended before initiating treatment for sexual dysfunction. The specific diagnostic methods for neurogenic sexual dysfunction were identified. The latest scientific data on sexual function regulation in both genders was summarized. The article listed the main therapeutic approaches to managing sexual dysfunction, including experimental techniques. The rehabilitation strategies for sexual function in patients with neurological pathology are discussed, with an emphasis on the key therapeutic methods. Despite the fact that sexual dysfunction is a significant issue for patients with CNS disorders, high-quality evidence-based studies are exceedingly rare and mostly limited to data on the efficacy of phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE5Is) for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Well-designed prospective studies for both genders are urgently needed to provide a more comprehensive understanding and effective management of sexual dysfunction in this patient population.
... Neurotransmitters and endocrine system (especially hormone cortisol) play a role in development of depression. Also, it should be noted that longer duration of Stress / Anxiety / Depression leads to damage to neural plasticity, damages neurons, and damages areas of Brain physiologically (Hippocampus and Amygdala) (Barlow., Durand.,2000). ...

... Moreover, a technique that helps people to learn how to control functions of their body such as their heart rate variability is called biofeedback, and biofeedback gives the power for individuals to control their body, use their thoughts properly, and to improve their physical performance (Mayo Clinic Staff, 2016). Mark and David (2009) define biofeedback as the process that helps individuals to gain better awareness of different physiological functions through the use of instruments to gain information. ...
... Biofeedback enables individuals to see inside of their bodies and to control the action and reactions of their physiology (Frank, Khorshid, Kiffe, Moravec & McKee, 2011). At the same time, the use of biofeedback could be helpful on the improvement of wellbeing, performance and physiological changes (Mark & David, 2009); whereas HRV-biofeedback is used as an indicator to stage communication apprehension (Behnke & Carlile, 1971;Porter, 1974). ...
Previous studies on interpersonal communication competence and intercultural communication competence were mostly conducted in the western parts of the world. The findings from such work were reported based on the answers of individuals on survey questionnaires. It is arguable that whether the results from studies in the western parts of the world answer the probable questions for the Asian context of communication, and whether the results from the regular surveys are relevant enough. Thus, this study was carried out to assess the relationship between interpersonal communication competence (IPCC), intercultural communication competence (ICCC), and heart rate variability (HRV) among international postgraduate students of a Malaysian public University. An embedded design of mixed methods which included quantitative, interview and HRV data sets was applied to conduct this study. The participants of this study were 128 postgraduate students from 17 different countries. The results from this study have confirmed the existence of relationships between IPCC, ICCC and HRV attributes of the participants. The results have also confirmed that the participants who were good in HRV were also good in IPCC and ICCC, and vice versa. The mean scores of individuals with good HRV scores and relatively low HRV scores, for IPCC and ICCC were 171.7 and 164.9 respectively. Based on the results, the participants with higher mean scores in IPCC had desirable scores in HRV as well. The participants with higher scores in IPCC with scores of 22.6 in the first relaxation session and 17.6 in the mental arithmetic test, while the participants with relatively low scores in IPCC got 7.5 and 12.1 for the mentioned sessions of HRV, respectively. The findings from this study confirmed the relationship between interpersonal communication competence and HRV of the participants. However, the mean score of the participants for IPCC (99.46) was higher than their mean score for ICCC (67.57). It means that in some cases individuals might be good in interpersonal communication because of their contacts with their own people, but they are still not good in intercultural communication because of the lack of their interactions with other international postgraduate students. Based on the results, it was found that their personal abilities, positive attitudes towards cultural differences, their good levels of English language proficiency, and the available environmental opportunities helped most of the participants to have more successful interactions.
... According to Frank et al. (2010), through the use of particular equipment and a computer monitor, individuals get helpful feedback to enhance control over their bodily functioning, and biofeedback enables individuals to see inside of their bodies and to control the action and reactions of their physiology. A good level of heart coherence is important for individuals to overcome the emotional and psychological stresses and conduct proper communication with one another. Zikr or remembrance of Allah, as the main pleasing performance to Allah, has direct effects on the emotional and psychological situation of Muslims. The levels of heart coherence and the effects of any intervention on the rhythmic actions and reactions of human heart are measurable through the use of heart rate variability (HRV)-biofeedback technology and HRV techniques. Thus, this study was conducted through the application of a mixed method research design, which included the use of HRV-biofeedback technology and some interviews, to assess the probable relationship between Ziki, heart coherence and intrapersonal communication of Muslim university students from different nationalities. This study had 20 participants from 10 different countries. From all participants, six of them were interviewed to support the HRV data through their direct views. The results from this study confirmed the existence of a close relationship between Zikr and the levels of heart coherence among the participants. Based on the results, Zikr performance had significant positive effects on the increase of heart coherence among the participants, and heart coherence is among the main factors that affect the process of intrapersonal communication within the human body. The results from this study may encourage individuals to perform Zikr performance as an effective treatment for their emotional and psychological disorders.

This study focuses on the evidence of self-repair and analyses the practices of self-repair in naturally occurring conversations in an institution of higher learning between eight students whose mother tongues were not English. The aim of this study is to increase non-native English speakers’ attention to both language and the medium’s comprehensibility. This study utilized a qualitative method (Creswell, 2014), and content analysis was used to analyse the data. Audio-recorded face-to-face conversations were obtained from eight postgraduate students from one of the public universities in Kuala Lumpur. The data were transcribed using Jefferson’s (2004) transcription notation symbols. The data were analysed based on self-repair strategies, which were the lexical, morphological, syntactic, pragmatic, and explicitness strategies (Mauranen, 2006). The findings show the occurrence of self-repair participants applied in enhancing their language fluency to improve their language proficiency and increase the level of explicitness of their language production. The findings further reveal the ways that non-native speakers of English use to improve proficiency and explicitness so that they become more understandable and able to communicate with others in daily life.
Keywords: language proficiency, non-native speakers of English, self-repair, explicitness strategies

... * Stanley's study on material dynamics in alcoholism discovered that poor marital adjustment and higher conflict levels were seen in families complicated by alcoholic consumption. 5 Thus to have a healthy personal and family life, the guidance of professional counselors is a vital need amongst migrant workers. ...
Migrant workers, who constitute a major work force, in the unorganized sector, face various psychological stresses and arrive in an aggravated mental position due to their habit of using different varieties of intoxicants. The researcher’s attempt in this paper is to find out the connection of addiction- related stress and social disintegration of the migrant workers with the wide web of exploitation of labour through an empirical analysis. The intoxicants are the only medium for the migrants to leave the sufferings behind them for a time being. This paper highlights the push factors as the fabricated trap to exploit the migrants physically, socially and mentally for surplus production with cheap labour.
Strategical documents on circular economy increasingly mention aspects of social justice, inclusion, and multistakeholder engagement. However, defining the social aspects of the circular economy has been a difficult task. Therefore, circular economy and social enterprise need to be combined, leading to the emergence of a new term: ‘social circular economy’. The fundamental premise of the social circular economy is that enhancing personal well-being can go hand in hand with improving society and the environment. First, this chapter gives an overview of different views on the social circular economy, including their strong points and weaknesses. Second, this chapter explores the skills needed for the green transition. Given the increasing focus on systemic approaches to the green transition, specific skills are required from all stakeholders to adequately value our planet and take appropriate action to protect it. The third part of this chapter focuses on the ability to tolerate climate change anxiety and still being able to undertake action. Since a circular economy transition can only be accomplished by combining the material, strategic, and consumer perspectives, this chapter ends with a discussion of research results on consumer perspectives on the circular economy.
The convergence of climate change and economic instability has sparked an unprecedented surge in climate anxiety, emerging as a critical public health challenge of current era. Our study examines the relationship between economic policy uncertainty (EPU) and climate anxiety through both symmetric and asymmetric lenses, drawing on comprehensive panel data from G7 countries spanning 1999–2022. Through the development of a novel climate anxiety index and application of advanced panel techniques, we reveal robust evidence of EPU's substantial influence on climate anxiety. Our analysis demonstrates that this relationship intensifies at higher quantiles, while environmental performance metrics serve as crucial buffers against EPU's adverse mental health impacts. The bidirectional causality between EPU and climate anxiety emphasizes the urgent need for integrated economic and environmental policies to protect vulnerable populations' mental health in an increasingly uncertain world.
