... Szécsény-Ültetés, excavation was carried out on only a small part of the site, but yielded a rich assemblage of finds, including a high pro- portion of decorated fine wares (Fig. 3), pottery fragments with anthro- pomorphic and zoomorphic depictions (Fig. 4, 5), and human face pots, which presumably had a special role in Neolithic culture and ideology (Fig. 6). 22 The import wares include large quantities of Bükk, Szakálhát, Szilmeg and Esztár-style ceramic ware, in addition to several sherds in- dicating even ...

The main aim of this study was to introduce HVA1 gene into Catharanthus roseus callus by using PDS (Particle delivery system). In vitro seed germination of C. roseus was achieved using vigor seeds. The shootlets induction medium was MS containing 2.0 mg/l benzyl aminopurine l −1. Somatic embryogenesis was obtained by culturing various parts of expl...
Production of hydroxyapatite from biogenic wastes for the adsorption of Contaminants from wastewater
has become attractive in recent time. Hydroxyapatite was produced from periwinkle shell (PSHAP) at
different calcination temperatures (400, 500 and 600 °C). The periwinkle shell was washed with distilleddeionized water, sundried for 48 h, soaked in...
Catharanthus roseus germplasm in India is predominantly inbred, implying the importance of accessing and detecting morphological variability in order to find acceptable genotypes with desired characteristics for novel variety generation and pharmacological evaluation. Seventeen morphological features were used to characterise the 25 C. roseus acces...
This programme examines the levels, trends and effects of contaminants in biota along the coast of Norway. The 2015-investigation included analyses of 108 different contaminants or biological effect parameters in five types of samples (blue mussel, dog whelk, common periwinkle, cod and passive samplers). The contaminants include metals (Ag, As, Hg,...
This study used eco-friendly materials known as Periwinkle Shell Powder (PSP) in stabilizing the engineering properties of lateritic soil. Preliminary test was performed on the un-stabilized lateritic soil for the purposes of identification and classification (natural moisture content, liquid limits, plastic limits, and plasticity index). The engin...

... There it was found that the Ipoly and Zagyva rivers served as important transport routes in the Early Neolithic. Ceramic and stone materials from Szécsény-Ültetés and several other investigated sites in the region indicate exchange with groups to the east, west and south, including Bükk, LBK, Vinča and Szakálhát (Fábián et al., 2016). ...
The paper presents a comprehensive analysis of pottery and lithic materials found in archaeological features associated with an Early Neolithic house from Biskupice (southern Poland) to shed light on exchange networks of the first farmers in Central Europe. The combination of microscopic examinations and lipid residues
analysis was utilised to study the link between the physical properties and function of the vessels. Finally, the archaeological context of other artifacts from the same house, including lithic assemblages, was investigated to determine the presence of both local and imported raw materials in Biskupice. The main conclusion of the study indicates local production of pottery, including the face vessel, and lithic implements. Conversely, a Transcarpathian transfer of some technological and decorative ideas, as well as imports of raw material such as obsidian, were confirmed.
