nowadays, compressing large data using different compression methods increase rapidly. This explains the recent importance and popularity of compressing data of multimedia applications as well as wavelet transforms in this field. Wavelet transforms tend to benefit of block-based transforms, including the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT). DCT is resp...

In order to get an efficient image multi-scale geometrical representation, the basic principle of tetrolet transform is studied and an efficient stationary tetrolet transform algorithm based on Haar wavelet transform is proposed. Tetrolets are Haar-type wavelets whose supports are tetrominoes which are shapes made by connecting four equal-sized squ...

In this research, a joint image compression and encryption scheme is presented which works for different image dimensions 256X256, 512X512 and 1024X1024 and different image sizes. The proposed scheme is efficient as compression and encryption is done simultaneously which makes computations faster and secure at the same time. The compression scheme...

Image Compression is a widely addressed research area. Many compression standards have been in place. But still there is a scope for higher compression with quality reconstruction. The introduction of wavelets gave a different dimension to the compression. But there are some limitations of wavelets while handling the line and curve singularities in...

This paper reports on an efficient lossless compression method for periodic signals based on adaptive dictionary predictive coding. Some previous methods for data compression, such as difference pulse coding (DPCM), discrete cosine transform (DCT), lifting wavelet transform (LWT) and KL transform (KLT), lack a suitable transformation method to make...

... Rest of the paper by Toyesh Prakash Sharma [1] the method presented here is different from previous works which dealt on the evaluation of nonelementary integrals, those papers are [2], [3], [4], [5] which have used to predicting the numerical values or approximations to the non-elementary integrals. Since this paper deals with inequalities as much as possible the use of elementary methods has taken for integrals. ...

The central aim of this paper is to put forward an aspect of functional inequality for finding nearby numerical values of non-elementary integrals without using advanced calculus and advanced functions like the Gamma function Incomplete gamma function, Beta function, Error function etc.. Still, for matching the values of those non-elementary integrals for some fixed lower and upper bounds of it there we use Wolfram Alpha and Desmos. For a better understanding, readers should be aware of Cauchy-Bunyakovsky-Schwarz Integral Inequality, Hermite-Hadamard Inequality for Convex functions, Hermite-Hadamard Inequality for Concave functions etc.
... From Table 3 it is clear that weight value 0.7 and 0.3 for face and voice respectively gave best accuracy. [8] The seven emotions for a single question are classified into positive affect (Happy, Neutral, Surprise) and negative effect (Fear, Angry, Disgust, Sad). The positive effect is the set of emotions which produce positive emotional experience while negative effect is the set of emotions which produce negative emotional experience in humans. ...

Patterns are identified to transform the irrelevant data into sensible information. ...
... JPEG is most widely used form of image compression that centers around DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform) [2]. In JPEG method, [3]- [6] total image matrix is broken into the 8*8 sub-blocks of the pixel and then working from left to right and right to the bottom, DCT is applied to each image block. Each block is compressed through quantization. In the beginning, upper-left hand corner of an image is chosen. DCT is designed to work on the pixel values ranging from -128 to 127, therefore the original block is levelled off by subtracting 128 from each entry. ...

In order to find out the best fast DCT algorithms presented among numerous algorithms, four Fast DCT Algorithms which are popular and frequently used are considered in the paper. Referring their dataflow graphs 4 architectures are designed using Matlab Simulink. HDL coder is used to generate automated VHDL code. The block setsused in the Simulink design are manually modified tothe fixed point 16-bit data type. VHDL code is generated using HDL coder. The designs are synthesized using Xilinx ISE 14.5. A test bench program is written to test the 4 algorithms with the same set of data. Using the test bench program, a post route simulation up to the pin level is executed. From the timing report and synthesis report, the results are compared to find out the best FDCT algorithm in terms of hardware utilization and simulated timing performance.Loeffler"s Algorithm is performing the best, both in terms of hardware utilization and timing requirement as found from the hardware synthesis report and timing report after post route simulation.

Systematic reviews of the professional quality of a discipline have shown a disjunctive: acceptance or rejection of risks due to the quality and consistency of its interventions in the personal welfare of users of public services. The objective of this study was to establish the odds ratio probabilities in order to anticipate unfavorable scenarios for Social Work intervention. A retrospective documentary study was carried out with a selection of sources indexed to international repositories, considering the period from 2010 to 2019 and with reports of effects of social work intervention on the subjective welfare of users of social services. A structure of proportions of probability was established that tends to be located in the risk acceptance margins, although a prospective study is suggested in order to anticipate scenarios of affectation in the face of shortages, shortages, unhealthiness and scarcity of future working and social conditions the social work professional.

The governance of migratory flows, understood as a system of co-management co-responsibility between institutional and private, political and social actors with respect to their identity and occupational health is addressed in the present non-experimental, exploratory and cross-sectional work with a non-probabilistic sample selection of 147 former migrants from central Mexico. From a structural model seven factors were established regarding framing, demands, resources, risks, opportunities, capabilities and employment. Based on the literature consulted, the limits, scope and lines of research aimed at deepening the effects of the variables and factors in an intercultural scenario are noticed.

The exploration of the dimensions of the vote in favour of proposals for sustainable development was the objective of this work. A non-experimental study was carried out with a non-probabilistic selection of 300 students, considering their participation in professional practices and social service in socially responsible organizations and institutions. The Scale of the Determinants of the Ecological Vote of Carreòn (2016) was used, observing an exploratory trifactorial structure that explained 45% of the total variance from an analysis of principal axes with promax rotation, although the design of the research limited the findings to the research scenario, suggesting the extension and contrast of the model in contexts of local political elections.

Studies of risk perception, in relation to the governance of risk events, have advanced towards a management, production and knowledge transfer system focused on the impact of the media on audiences and eventually on the leaders of Civil protection institutions, but the absence of research encouraged the present work to establish the reliability and validity of an instrument. The proposal was based on a non-experimental study and a non-probabilistic sample selection of 245 students from a public university. Based on a structural model, it was found that Internet users perceive risks and affect media perception and perception social on the perception of risk events, although there are lines of research concerning the mediation of such dependency relationships.

Gross mode, mobility policies are inscribed in sustainable cities models, following the guidelines of the Earth Summits, but the effects of these policies have been little linked to transport systems and user identities. The objective of the present work was to establish a model for the study of the triad, policies, systems and transportation identities, centered on four habitus indicators, understood as effective social dispositions of the environment. A non-experimental study was carried out with a non-probabilistic sample selection from sources indexed to national repositories, considering the year of population from 2000 to 2019, as well as the concepts of "mobility" and "habitus". There is a line of study regarding the comparison of mobility policies, transport systems and user identities to establish differences and similarities with the intention of anticipating ungovernability or governance scenarios.
