Four new species of Yunguirius B. Li, Zhao & S.Q. Li, 2023 are described from China, namely: Yunguirius parvus Wei & Liu, sp. nov. (♀), Yunguirius trigonus Wei & Liu, sp. nov. (♀), Yunguirius wangqiqiae Wei & Liu, sp. nov. (♀), and Yunguirius xiannushanensis Wei & Liu, sp. nov. (♀).

Background The Pholcus yichengicus species group currently contains 47 species. It is mainly distributed in central and southern China, as well as northern Thailand. Miscellaneous notes on the nomenclature of spiders are presented, resultant are: 6 new synonymies; 7 subspecies raised to, and 2 restored to, species level; 40 taxa are proposed as nomina dubia; 1 subspecies is declared a subspecies inquirenda, and 112 species described based on juvenile type material are proposed as species inquirendae.
