Albanian farms are facing tough challenges related with globalization and climate changes. Against the arguments of literature that small farms are beautiful, that is more efficient, productive and competitive than larger ones, small size of the Albanian farms seems to be a major counterargument that tends to make harder these challenges and a major reason why many of these farms are failing. The book is focusing mainly but not only on the need small farms have in terms of direct support and policy, as well as reforms the entire farming sector needs to be more resilient and effective against these two major challenges of our time.
