... NW-SE faults and shear zones were the main channels to hydrothermal fluids that enhanced the copper grades in the Curaçá Valley. The Rio Salitre Greenstone Belt (RSGB) displays a dextral sigmoidal shape that hosts pyrite-pyrrhotite deposits in its southern end, where the regional N-S aeromagnetic anomalies can be related to the maficultramafic volcanism of the sequence (Figure 2), which is parallel to the sulfide ore. The northern edge of the RSGB shows a NE-SW main trend related to magnetite-bearing sedimentary rocks and BIFs, intercalated with phosphate-rich carbonate rocks. ...
