Figure 1.26. A typical fan performance curve. Each fan curve is associated with a certain fan model at a selected RPM. Fans are selected based upon the required static pressure and airflow of the ventilation system. It is important that the static pressure and airflow be located in the operating range of the fan curve—not in the stalling range of the curve. Figure 1.27 shows a graph presenting the operating and stalling ranges for the fan curve.
