Home security has been a major issue w here crime is increasing and everybody wants to take proper measures to prevent in-trusion. In addition there is a need to automate home so that user can take advantage of the technological advancement in suc h a way that a person getting off his home does not need to think of hi s home security again and agai...

... Besides, wireless transceiver modules enable the system to transfer additional information such as voice and image rather than alarm signals. While, Khan et al.,(2012) also designed a low-cost security system by using the sensors integrated with microcontroller and GSM module. In additional, several sensor types such as smoke detector, sound detection, heat detection and touch sensor were used in this project. ...
Home security is a critical issue, especially for the civilians to protect their property from harm. Currently, the increase in home breaking usually occurs during school holidays and public holiday seasons. Therefore, to overcome the problem and the main objective is to design and develop a low-cost home security notification system using PIR sensor to detect movement of intruders, Raspberry Pi Camera, GPS module integrated with Raspberry Pi Zero WH to send an alert notification message with image, date, location, and time via Telegram Bot to the house owner’s and people nearby through a smart phone. The system utilizes the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by implementing the waterfall model as the methodology. Three experiments were conducted to examine the effectiveness of the system which is sensor detection range, response time and user acceptance test (UAT). The finding indicates that the home security notification system was efficient, effective, low-cost, and easy to use. Besides, the system can detect the presence of the intruder and send the notification message in a reasonable time. Meanwhile, the result from the UAT indicates that the proposed system has a positive impact and to be well accepted by the majority of the users. Hence, the system can help the house owners to take immediate action such as calling the neighbourhood association or police department authority when the system detects an intruder in the house.
... Other systems based on GSM technology were proposed and implemented in (63)(64)(65) . These systems seek in different ways to detect the presence of a potential burglar or intruder, and subsequently, send alert notifications via SMS and activate a buzzer or alarm. ...
Currently there has been an increase in insecurity and burglaries to homes, buildings, and various social places, which has led to search and implementation of mechanisms to protect people and these sites. In this way, houses with Physical Security Systems (PSS) are less affected by these events, and thanks to the technological advancement and the appearance of the Internet of Things (IoT), these systems has improved too much, being able to supply several needs with new functionalities, which are possible by new devices and technologies. In this sense, is desirable to resolve the question about what are the most used IoT devices and technologies in different PSS designs? Thus, the purpose of this article is to present the results of the literature review made, which sought to identify the common items used in modern IoT-bases PSSs, highlighting the advantages, disadvantages, and limitations of the implemented systems.
... These features raise concerns about specific ethical concerns, such as information privacy, data protection, lack of control over personal data and potential slavery to technological devices (Hsu & Lin, 2016;Nguyen & Simkin, 2017;Slettemes, 2009). As a consequence, the requirement to apply privacy measures for minimising information disclosure and loss of data is increasing (Khan et al., 2012;Solanas & Martinez-Ballestè, 2009). In this case, an ethical issue can be addressed via the technological lens which allows for the application of numerous measures for ensuring information confidentiality, integrity and availability (Solanas & Martinez-Ballestè, 2009). ...
The use of chatbots to manage online interactions with consumers poses additional ethical challenges linked to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) applications and opens up new ethical avenues for investigation. A literature analysis identifies a research gap regarding the ethical challenges related to chatbots as non-moral and non-independent agents managing non-real conversations with consumers. It raises concerns about the ethical implications related to the progressive automation of online conversational processes and their integration with AI. The conversational approach has been explored in the organisational and management literature, which has analysed the features and roles of conversations in managing interactions ethically. This study aims to discuss conceptually the ethical challenges related to chatbots within the marketplace by integrating the current chatbot-based literature with that on conversation management studies. A new conceptual model is proposed which embraces ethical considerations in the future development of chatbots.
... This Paper mainly focuses on providing security when the user is away from home. SMS (Short Message Service) is a GSM mobile technology that can perform remote communication wherever they are [2] . Through this facility messages can send quickly, accurately and at a low cost. ...
Today we are living in 21st century where crime become increasing and everyone wants to secure they asset at their home. In that situation user must have system with advance technology so person do not worry when getting away from his home. It is therefore the purpose of this design to provide home security device, which send fast information to user GSM (Global System for Mobile) mobile device using SMS (Short Messaging System) and also activate - deactivate system by SMS. The Modular design of this Home Security System make expandable their capability by add more sensors on that system. Hardware of this system has been designed using microcontroller AT Mega 328, PIR (Passive Infra Red) motion sensor as the primary sensor for motion detection, camera for capturing images, GSM module for sending and receiving SMS and buzzer for alarm. For software this system using Arduino IDE for Arduino and Putty for testing connection programming in GSM module. This Home Security System can monitor home area that surrounding by PIR sensor and sending SMS, save images capture by camera, and make people panic by turn on the buzzer when trespassing surrounding area that detected by PIR sensor. The Modular Home Security System has been tested and succeed detect human movement.
The current situation of security cameras has shown that there is a large scope for improvement in the way they operate from a fundamental level. Security cameras have always been used as a monitoring system but not as an intrusion detecting and notifying system. CCTVs are ineffective when they are used just to monitor a room, but if we can implement facial recognition using the existing system, we can add a level of extra security to our home or office spaces. This paper will analyse the use of intruder detection in IoT, mainly CCTV or closed-circuit television using face detection while going in depth into how this can be achieved and what measures are taken to make this possible. This research will provide a deeper look into the problem of CCTVs being a passive form of security and how to make them a more active form of security by implementing intruder detection. Face detection using OpenCV is used to achieve the functionality of intruder detection. This information will impact the way CCTV cameras are made in the future and will demonstrate that the extra security layer of intrusion detection is a feasible and ready-to-use product.
