Senior Product Manager - Commercial Products (m/f/d)

This is a full-time position based in Germany or the UK. Our headquarters are in Berlin and we support a hybrid home office/in person approach to work.

Objective of the Role
 
Do you want to use your skills and experience to do something great? The Senior Product Manager position at ResearchGate offers the opportunity to have a direct influence on one of the most important problems there is; increasing scientific productivity. 

We are looking for a senior product leader who is interested in leading a outcome-driven process to deliver exceptional products for our customers. You must be data-driven, an excellent communicator, possess excellent UX skills and most of all, believe in our mission.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Scale ResearchGate’s biggest revenue stream in Marketing Solutions, in a way that aligns with our product vision
  • Define, develop, and execute a clear product strategy (including go-to-market) together with leads from other functions
  • Define, develop, and implement product initiatives in line with the product vision to create sustainable value for customers and researchers
  • Interfacing with customers on ongoing basis to inform product development 
  • Contributing to the craft of Product Management, including mentoring other PMs
  • Run a data-informed product development process that leverages both qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Price and position your products in the market to maximize growth 
  • Define, track and analyze KPIs that inform the success rate of product development
  • Cooperate and coordinate with relevant stakeholders (Software engineering, Design, Product Management, Sales) to achieve collective objectives

Your Experience

  • 4+ years of experience of product management experience
  • Proven track record of building exceptional products, bringing them to market, and delivering business outcomes
  • Outstanding prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Expert knowledge in defining, analyzing, and responding to product KPIs
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with agile product-development processes
  • Fluency in English is required (spoken and written)
