Requirements and Attributes
The ideal candidate possesses an outstanding record of exceeding revenue goals and growing high-value or high-potential accounts, backed by extensive and proven senior Sales and Marketing networks in the US Life Sciences industry.
With at least 10 years of sales, account, or key account management experience ideally in a US-based B2B Life Sciences environment, you have proven thought leadership in the Life Sciences or Ad Tech industries, and at least 5 years of management experience, with evidence of having built and trained Account Management/ Customer Success teams.
As a goal-oriented, organized, and high-energy leader with a strong customer service orientation, you have demonstrated depth of consumer/market knowledge with a passion for actioning these insights to shape strategy and drive value for clients. You possess a demonstrated record of communicating and driving organizational change, and extensive expertise in analyzing data and sales statistics, making data-driven recommendations and forecasting revenue.
Interpersonally, you are a convincing and compelling communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills among stakeholders of all levels.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing, with direct and indirect reports based in both Berlin and the US, the Head of Life Science Sales is tasked with providing comprehensive leadership and development for ResearchGate’s Global Key Accounts Channel.
Focused on the establishment and growth of ResearchGate’s US presence, with an emphasis on companies with US headquarters or primary markets, the successful candidate will build the Key Account Management team through the hiring, training, and motivating of team members, whilst deepening relationships with clients at senior level, resulting in outstanding customer experience and account growth.
The position includes responsibility for the shaping and implementation of ResearchGate’s Key Account strategy, including segmentation and tiering, facilitating consultative selling, and developing and applying commercial insight to foster and grow client relationships.
The result will be robust revenue growth through development and expansion of key accounts across geographies and departments, with the Head of Life Science Sales having direct ownership of output, including revenue target attainment and growth.
