Do you have any insights about it? Case studies of companies, best practices? I am trying to set up a research group on this topic around the following conceptual core: "Milton Friedman consacrated an understanding of the relationship between ethics and business eventually known as 'The Separation Thesis', the main tenet thereof is that business decisions have no moral content, moral decisiones have no business content. This view has been mainstrean in management theory and practice for decades, yet it is being increasingly challenged from many sides. This research line aims at taking stock of recent developments in cognitive sciences, economics, sociology, philosophy, organization studies, and corporate responsibility that point to the manifold ways in which ethics and business are actually embedded. Building on this, it is our purpose to delve into the question, how ethics is driving innovation in every aspects of business, including strategy, organizational design, product, decision making processes, and culture".

We know that famous Lorenz system firstly developed as a model for atmospheric convection. Is there any real data which can show that model is acceptable? There are 3 parameters in Lorenz equations which can make great qualitative changes (bifurcation) in the system time series. Is there any real data which can help us to estimate these parameters?
In almost all of the researches on parameter estimation of chaotic systems, there are no real data. In those researches both real system and model are exactly the same ODEs (or maps). Their difference is that the parameters are known in ODE (or map) who plays the role of real system, while the parameters supposed to be unknown in the other ODE (or map). I want to do the parameter estimation for a REAL system which has a valid model (since I don’t want to do system identification, I need a valid model which only needs parameter estimation). The only thing came to my mind was chaotic circuits, but I want something different. I am ready to collaborate on this topic if someone can provide me those data and valid model (map or flow, no difference). I think the possibility of finding discrete data which have a model in the form of map is more.

I have prepared silver nanoparticles using Ethanol, AgNO3, PVP using Microwave synthesis and have achieved a size of 110nm. I want to make a LB film of these nanoparticles. When I mix ethanolic solution in water, it does not form a film and is completely miscible. I tried centrifuging it (to redisperse in toluene) but it is taking a lot of time (more than 2 hours at 4000rpm speed) and the supernatant is still yellow in colour plus very few particles have settled down. Has anybody worked on this before? I need some suggestions on how to go about this.

One would say very few, since a paper "has to be published".
Asking 9 university-based physicians, 5/9 reported to have 1 to 3 papers into their personal files...that will never be re-submitted!
Would be glad to hear from a "larger size", do you have unpublished papers?

Could it be that a past environment promotes a latent phenotype?. For example: a reaction norm is the expression of a phenotype of the past. If it does that would be a Pale-phenotype. One of the many ways to synthesize silver nanoparticles is to reduce AgNO3 with NaBH4. However, the final product we obtain from this reduction process is a yellow colloidal silver. Is the yellow colloidal silver itself ok for direct analysis of silver nanoparticles (UV-vis , SEM, etc) or should I actually further process the yellow colloidal silver by centrifugation / drying in oven to filter out other chemicals present in the yellow colloidal silver in order to get pure silver nanoparticles (and then resuspend it in DI water again)?
Does anyone have the exact protocol of the above mentioned steps? I am quite clueless on the sample preparation part for instrumental analysis.
The chemical equation for this reduction process is :
AgNO3 + NaBH4 ----> Ag + 1/2H2 + 1/2B2H6 + NaNO3
So is it correct to say that centrifugation and drying are needed to remove 1/2H2 + 1/2B2H6 + NaNO3 ?
Will centrifugation and the drying process actually lead to the agglomeration of the silver nanoparticles? If yes, is there any way to avoid it?
So far, in most of the journals that I've read, not many actually mentioned about the further processing steps that i mentioned above.

I used my primers to amplify my products. Finally I got my exact size of the products in gel but I used invitrogen kit for my products elution, and I didn't get my products. Could anyone suggest why? I have attached my gel picture.

Can I explain the increasing of (111) intensity by saying that it is due to the larger grains with higher crystallinity have higher periodicity? What statistic test I can use to prove that a gene is expressed in RNA-seq? For example, after RNA-seq, one gene has a RPM of 100, how can I determine this gene is expressed?
Another way to think about it, say one gene has a RPM of 100, another gene has a RPM of 2000, we can say the second gene is significantly expressed than the first gene. What I want to do is do firstly prove that the first gene and the second gene is expressed and then testify the second one is significantly expressed comparing to the first one.

Have been looking for a fast sensitive way to stain SDS/PAGE gels, but they all required 3x washes in DI water (other than the old Methanol/acetic acid Coomassie method).
Have used the stain free gels from BioRad and they work but have to take them to an imager outside of my lab. Then I tried AcquaStain from Bulldog Bio, a Coomassie based stain that you can put your gel right into w/o having to wash, fast, sensitive, low background.
