Hi Aneta, I also work with proteins with appr. 50kDa and goat anti-light chain HRP give no background for heavy chain. So I would suggest that you use an antibody detecting light chain only. If your background really is heavy chain, this problem should be solved this way. We use antibodiy from Dianova Best Kai

Go for Arduino. It would be lot more easier to have some hands-on and understand the Controller's functionality. You need to know only C/C++ to code using Arduino IDE instead Android or UNIX (Raspberry PI). For initial understandings and basic concepts Arduino is a good choice.

I am not trying to dismiss all of Elis’s results, of course. The real issue to me is why some people might prefer to believe that male/female brain differences are negligible or nonexisting? Also, why does she feel herself that other scientists have wanted parents to believe that there are great differences, as if there has been some sort of scientific conspiracy to claim that current male/female roles are biologically carved in stone? What supposedly have other neuroscientists got to gain by making such claims? In short, why do some people so adamantly claim that there are no real differences between male and females that can’t be accounted for and thus remedied by specific types of social conditioning? Perhaps the social conditioning approach makes it easier to believe that all we need to do to create an egalitarian society free of patriarchy is to change the way we raise children, to make the media shape up, and to enlighten an army of misguided educators. Few people object to the idea of male/female equality, though not everyone wants an androgynous society. Indeed, the ultimate social ramifications of Elis’s book are not entirely clear, though she ironically notes that we should fight the trend towards underlooking boy’s abilities in the classroom….since they are the one’s falling behind in today’s world. So yes, the book is positive in that it advocates not using a person’s sex to undervalue their potential in the classroom. However, any innuendo that we can easily create a gender-classless society by promulgating the belief that we only need to make a few adjustments in our social environment is as naïve as Skinner’s vision and overlooks millions of years of evolution and persistent biological facts.
