I want to exact multiple numerical data from image 2D(from pdf file).
and than take difference between two types of data points. eg. from same independent values let say x1 taking difference of two dependent data points(eg. y1,z1).
I have check WebPlotDigitizer and other similar programs. They give good result for both type of data points separately. But using that type of software i could not get differences as independent value x is slightly different from the different type of data points(y,z).

I am working on SnSb anode material. To check the redox activity of my system I ran CV experiment. I used 5M-aqueous LiNO3 electrolyte for testing. When I use 3 electrode set up WE+Ag/AgCl|LiNO3|Pt CE I couldn't get any peaks at any potential value (even for a wide window -1 to 3 V). Instead transparent electrolyte solution became blue in color. Then I just tested my WE vs Cu foil to see any redox activity occur. With this two electrode set up I got redox peaks. I have attached the CV graphs here. I am wondering how to interpret these values, whether they belong to my WE or any other things? If they belong to my WE how to interpret these..?

I placed it close to the WE. (to reduce the solution resistance).
I tried both Saturated Calomel and Ag/AgCl electrode. In the graphs showed in my question I used Ag/AgCl as RE.Following

I am trying to evaluate the increment of a river flow in some parts of my country, that's why I need a forecast for precipitation. I tried using models like WRF and ETA, those give me a grid of possible areas where would occur precipitation and beside it an scale of the amount of precipitable water.
Is there another method to obtain the quantity of precipitation, as a punctual value, instead of getting a shaded grid with its scale?

Did you think of trying the procedure of Model Output Statistics for deriving a punctual value of rainfall. You adopt the stepwise regression procedure with that of any model giving outputs to a grided forecast and it is possible to get a good accuracy for the forecasts. I suggest that you can first test it with an independent data set before you apply it for any operational study.

Biomedical engineering is a very broad field - it depends very much on the specific department. Some will be more focused on medical devices which will have elements of mechanical, chemical, and materials engineering; others will have more focus on instrumentation such as imaging which will have more elements of electrical engineering. Meanwhile if you are really interested in biomedical field, but you major in one of the more traditional engineerings you still will learn a lot of good fundamentals and applied physics, but maybe with applications that are not suited to your interests. So for example in chemical engineering you may end up learning process control or fluid mechanics as applied to a chemical plant, as opposed to a medical device. On the flip side, the traditional engineering fields will have wider job possibilities should you decide biomedical doesn't suit you.Following

I am working on electrochemical biosensor, which measures change of charge transfer resistant for detection of protein. My problem is that the charge transfer resistant keeps changing even if the measurements are repeated on the same electrodes, i. e., after antigen is captured by antibody on working electrodes, multiple EIS measurements did not give consistent results, but kept varying significantly. [My protocol of building the sensor is: attaching antibody to gold working electrode using self-assembled monolayers, using K3Fe(CN)6 and K4Fe(CN)6 as redox probes and doing EIS measurement at formal potenital (about 0.2V) with AC (10 mv from 10kHz to 0.1Hz).]

I deal with scaling in reverse osmosis. In a spiral wound module for desalinating municipal water we found CaCO3 precipitates on the spacer even if deposits were barely visible on the membrane.
I would be glad if someone could share experience in this area.
Our experience is that when fouling by CaCo3 and other foulants building on the membrane decrease performance, then after chemical cleaning of the membranes, there is little or no fouling left on the spacers. When the membrane cartridges reach the end of their life, then they are replaced with new cartridges and new spacers. In practice it's not an issue.Following

It’s my strong opinion that the best way to properly evaluate protein-flavonoid interactions is not limited to isothermal titration calorimetry, equilibrium dialysis, surface plasmon resonance, NMR, or the Hummel-Dreyer method. All physicochemical assessments are good but not sufficient enough without functional (enzyme-kinetic, inhibitory) characteristics of flavonoids’ interactions with biocatalytic ptoteins, such as enzymes. To this end, you might find a useful our data on inhibitory analysis of six different flavonoids on the recombinant cytochromes P450s and the P450-reductase (BIOCHIMICA ET BIOPHYSICA ACTA 1205:325-35, 1994).
In a nutshell, structure-activity relationships indicated the importance of hydroxyl groups in the 5- and 7-positions on the A ring of the flavane nucleus. These hydroxyl groups accounted for the inhibitory potency of chrysin on each of the activities of the expressed P-450s, while presence of a hydroxyl group at the 4'-position on the B ring decreased the inhibitory potency of naringenin compared to that of chrysin. The ortho-orientation of a hydroxyl group on the B ring was of importance, inasmuch as quercetin was more potent than morin as an inhibitor of cDNA-expressed and hepatic microsomal monooxygenases.

(initial state and covariance) which are given to the estimators are correct values. can any one explain how one can know the correct values(initial state and covariance) in prior?
or in otherwords, in realistic situation of multitarget tracking how can one start the estimation process(choise of initial state and covariance) .
A lot of people 'cheat' in simulations by initializing the track state with the true values. I guess this could be justified in cases where the tracker is cued by another sensor or perhaps an operator.
A more reasonable/realistic approach is to set the position equal to the initial measurement and other higher order time derivatives of position to zero. The initial variance of each state estimate component, if a Kalman filter is being used, is then set equal to the expected velocity, acceleration, etc, of the target. A more subtle form of cheating is when the square-root of these elements matches the actual velocity exactly (or the std. dev. of the generating distribution if an MC sim. is being run).
I wouldn't feel too bad/guilty about using either approach, so long as it is clearly stated what has been done and why.Following

Dear colleagues,there are problems with raw(dung) manures or immature(not sufficiently decomposed) composts.The acute effects(immediate response by plant) and chronic effects(symptoms slower to develop).The acute effects are due to salinity ,ammonia toxicity and organic(fermentation)acids and chronic affects due to high C:N ratio and phytotoxicity due to excess minerals.Raw poultry manure litter(fresh,wet and not composted) may have salts and a higher quantity of N in the form of ammonia.Salt together with ammonia may cause injury to seedlings of tomato,pepper etc.High salinity weakens plants and often leads to root rot,those caused by Pythium andPhytophthora ( in crops like soy bean,rhododendron) In USA states provide guidelines to use manure containing salts-fixing critical limits,composting ratio of dung to bedding material,application rate,leaching /irrigation after amending the soil with manure.The following brief note may give some idea of the problem and possible solutions.
