How to do DEA on large number of banks?
I have to perform DEA on large number of banks, around 100 and I'm using TORA for problem optimization and going with the traditional way I would have to enter the data for all 100 banks manually which is making my work tedious. Can anyone suggest a simpler method to do the same?
for eg: forming groups of banks, categorizing them on the basis of some factors such as reserves or branches, then find out the average values and then perform DEA.
Will my above method give me right result?
In DEA your data entry includes inputs and outputs, so if you have large number of banks it is a credit using DEA for relative efficiency inspection. Make sure that you have the same input and output variables for all DMUs. If your data includes for some DMUs data on branches, you need to consolidate it to have the same data for each bank. There's a number of data reported for the exsolution of different mineral phases from high temperature and high pressure garnets (including pyroxenes, rutile, apatite, spinel and others). Presence of corundum in orogenic peridotite assemblages is commonly attributed to UHT conditions. The point is what the hypothetical exsolution of Crn from Grt can tell us about. I am searching a paper on a case of a SES (social-ecological system) that illustrates the human capacity of social learning, enabling deliberate transformation of the SES, for example to a higher scale of governance, thereby possibly increasing resilience. I am looking for an example for any kind of deliberate transformation, e.g. in urban management, fisheries, forest management, protected areas, community building, etc; it doesn’t have to be a governance scale transformation, but ideally a system that undergoes the adaptive cycle phases and where a deliberate transformation led or might lead to increased resilience. In short, the idea behind the Bayeian approach is to use probabilities to express expectations about hypotheses.
The "conventional" probability theory was developed baes on games of chance where the underlying data-generating processes or hypotheses were known and probabilities were used to express an expectation about (yet unseen, unknown, future) data. In reaserach the problem is the inverse: we do know the data and we wish to use this knowledge to justify or modify our expectations about hypotheses (about how this data was generated).
Bayes formalized the way how to move from
- P(data, given some hypothesis is true)
- P(hypothesis, given we know some data)
The key problem is that this step is neccesarily relative to some prior expectation about all possible hypotheses. Some people think that it would be important to have "no prior expectation", referring to a state of "complete ignorance". Others say that this is not possible in principle.Following

I try to calculate the molecular dynamics simulation in vasp. I want to plot the RMSD vs Time plot. Please tell me is there any INCAR tag to calculate RMSD or any equation to calculate the RMSD value for each MD step.
I forgot to mention but you have to eliminate rotation and translation of the protein before calculating the RMSD. I think VASP can do it. What are the extensions of the trajectory file ? If it's xtc or some other, you can use GROMACS (the command g_rms) as J. Mendumpal mentioned. Otherwise,VMD as B. Wang mentioned works with almost all the trajectory files and also permit to calculate the RMSD automatically (and eliminate translation and rotation of the protein).Following

Hi, I'm recently working on immunostaining for Pax7 in mouse muscle cryosections. The primary antibody is mouse IgG1 anti-Pax7 (DSHB) and it seems the only antibody working in mouse with a Mouse to Mouse (MOM) IgG blocking reagent. I tried the Vector MOM IgG blocking buffer followed by blocking with 15% goat serum, anti-Pax7 overnight and Invitrogen goat-anti-mouse IgG1 for 30min. It turned out that there was very intense non-specific background. I got this protocol from a Nature paper and also tried different dilution of primary and secondary antibodies but all didn't work. Does anyone have experience with the mouse to mouse kit?

I do a meta-analysis under very specific criteria, however, I can’t find more than nine studies that fit my criteria, is that number acceptable and if not how many studies should I have?

Another common question is: How many studies do I need to conduct a meta-analysis? Though my colleagues and I have often answered “two” (Valentine et al. 2010), the more complete answer lies in understanding the power of the statistical tests in meta-analysis. I take the approach in this book that power of tests in meta-analysis like power of any statistical test needs to be computed a priori, using assumptions about the size of an important effect in a given context, and the typical sample sizes used in a given field. Again, deep substantive knowledge of a research literature is critical for a reviewer in order to make reasonable assumptions about parameters needed for power.

It is often evoked as an explanation for isolated populations but evidence appears to be sparse. From a probability view, eggs and larvae of most spp have very high mortality rates and thus the likelihood of a male and a female reaching breeding age is low, though not impossible. Studies in the Pyrenees have suggested that fish only reach isolated ponds up hill through human introduction. In the laboratory you normally do this by determination of the capacity retention of the battery device. You run charge/discharge curves over time and observe the voltage maximum over time as transient curve. When the voltage maximum decays over time then this is the identification of a ageing of the battery. You have to google around. Lentivirus transduction of human macrophage increased mRNA by ~10 folds, but protein level was not obviously increased. What might be the problem?
I am trying to use lentivirus to overexpress a cDNA ORF that encodes a human protein in human monocyte-derived macrophages. Although the mRNA levels were increased by up to 10 folds, the protein level were not markedly increased, i.e. less than 50%. The transduction rate is ~60-70% for the empty vector with a GFP tag. The overexpression vector also has a GFP tag, but likely due to the inserts, the GFP signal was a lot weaker. Anyone may have insights? Might pseudotransduction be a possible issue? BTW, in your case, did the overexpression induce over several fold increase of your protein in the media and was the fold change of the protein relevant to that of mRNA? Thanks!!Following

I am working on PCF based SPR sensors. I am using COMSOL software. For the SPR sensor need to calculate the confinement loss. Just assume, I have polished two side of my PCF structure and now its look like flat. Now, I put the metal layers and sensing layer top of the polished (only upper side) part. Now, to calculate the propagation loss should I need to use the PML layer.... or If I use the Scattering boundary condition then should be ok for loss calculation.

I have surface waves (MASW test) data (39 traces) from numerical simulations using FLAC and I conducted a laboratory MASW test (20 traces).
The group wave velocity from numerical simulation is 64 m/s while from laboratory test is 1000 m/s. Now I want to scale the results from numerical simulations to match the velocity obtained from laboratory. The material properties for two mediums are different. Any help is appreciated.
