About VHE gamma-ray astronomy

Very high energy (VHE) gamma-ray astronomy is exploring the Tera-electron volt energy regime via the observation of gamma-rays. It deals with the non-thermal universe, in particular explosive event like super novae and gamma-ray bursts, but also physics of relativistic plasma outflows, as, e.g., they occur in the vicinity of black holes, and acceleration in cosmic shocks.
