Yours is a stratified random sample. You have excluded thematic based newspapers and advertisement-intensive papers, as you did not find them relevant to your research project. Because of such type of exclusion, some researchers may term your sample as convenience sampling. According to my personal opinion, you excluded them only because of their low relevance or non-relevance. You can conveniently term your sample as stratified random sample.

I agree that a good-old scatterplot is still a very good way to detect problems with the data, including some influential cases.

#Keith: It certainly does make sense. In 2006 M.G. Michael presented "Location-Based Services and the Privacy-Security Dichotomy" at the Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Mobile Computing and Ubiquitous Networking, London, 11-13 October 2006, 91-98 held at the headquarters of the British Computer Society http://works.bepress.com/kmichael/15/. At that conference were two keynotes, one from CISCO and the other from Microsoft Research. The CISCO speaker was talking about RFID continuous flows of information and the Microsoft speaker about something called "social living" enhanced by technology at the Cambridge Labs (aka computer-mediated living and socio-digital systems). The discussion came up about how one would really know whether or not their RFID implant/wearable (or other type of sensor) was really only serving a single purpose and not being used for all sorts of things. When M.G. described the potential for the consumer to have a sort of on-off switch to take back control of their own destiny both keynotes agreed that this was a valid measure and probably one of the only ones that would be agreeable to consumers in future scenarios if devices were not just wearable but were implantable. But not all ICT equipment is obtrusive and so how would you know that you were not being followed covertly as you entered/exited gantries that were for instance hidden from view? Consider that some shoppers' mobile handsets are now under scrutiny around large shopping malls. A similar problem exists there, although service providers enabling this type of anonymous handset tracking do clearly label their equipment (e.g. http://www.pathintelligence.com/en/products/footpath/privacy "Q: Will I know that your system is in operation when I enter a mall OR STORE? Yes, it is very straightforward for shoppers to see if our systems are being used because at each of our installations our equipment is clearly visible and labelled with our logo and website address. This website further explains how the system works and the privacy safeguards that we have in place." This brings me to another discussion that I once had with someone from Symbol Technologies who at the time were testing RFID for baggage handling in a very busy airport in Asia. As they were presenting to me the pros of the RFID kit I was about to purchase for application testing, they did mention that some official testing of some very powerful RFID overhead readers used for bus tracking, were also capturing some ePassport information of travellers in the top floor of the bus who had their ePassports in full view (e.g. in their hands). The testing was carried out in the U.S. prior to implementation of the baggage handling RFID sticky tags. Technically this is possible although ePassports do work only as proximity type tokens and cannot be read from very long distances (e.g. more than 5-10 metres away) because the power required to elicit and excitation of the device is too great for consumer health safety. Whether anecdotal evidence or not, the case remains that this might be possible in the future and serious experiments have taken place that say this is possible. I agree with the people above and i also do think that western feminism is more of post modern feminism which has to do with the family structure and creating a wrong picture of feminism. Where as in African feminism, women are still yet to receive the equality within their society/country as well as from the world. As Lina said "double discrimination."

I am currently doing a research on similar topic and the hardest thing is to convince the traditional economists that humans are not Player 1, Player2.. instead their behavior is diverse and its diversity can be traced back to biophysical and biochemical principles of humans behavior.

If/when X occurs, eg a violation of a right then measure Y shall be adopted by the state authorities. The person W whose right has been violated shall be granted access to justice, ie effective means enforcement must be made available and the remedies must guarantee the effective protection of the right in question. And so on it is always about defining the conditions, the person who has to satisfy them, the authority in charge with a certain matter. Study the language of law and you will identify the difference between rules and other legal propositions, between principles and rights etc

Social-conflict theory is somehow related to your topic. But specifically, try to research about theories on aggression and how people use aggression in getting what they want.

The link below leads to a short film 'To see the invisible man'. A man has been charged for lack of empathy and sentenced with one year social isolation. The end of the film is amazing, because after absolving his sentence going through a terrible life experience, one day he meets on the street another person who obviously has been convicted and sentenced with social isolation. The 'invisible man' can not pass by, he has to stop and comfort the sentenced person. He has become an empathic person, however his deed constitutes a new infringement of the criminal law, which very probably will lead to a new sentence. The bottom line is that when sentencing and sanctioning become a pursuit in itself and they tend to do so, there is a high risk to experience the 'invisible man' story in reality. First sentenced for lack of empathy, secondly for empathy directed towards the wrong person, and the story can only go on and on. There are real cases of people who has been sentenced consecutively for crimes invented by the government. First being convicted as an enemy of the fascist government and then as an enemy of the communist proletariat and they have been liberated after 20-30 years of imprisonment and sentenced with life time deportation. There is the risk involved in any type of delegation of authority, that the assignee will not serve the interests of the assignor in an appropriate manner. Even if we do not have the solutions, at least not yet, it is worth to be aware and reason and try to imagine better ways to deal with law and legislation. Living law, the term coined by Ehrlich sounds like a metaphor, but it still can inspire us to re-think and question the limits of law.

there can be individual and structural factors of social mobility. structural mobility cab be defined as agricultural economy to industrial economy.Such a change provides new opportunities for employment, which the people avail and thereby the whole process becomes instrumental to social mobility. The individuals may have differences in their “mobility oriented behaviors”. There is much which persons can do to increase their prospects for upward mobility by improving their educational qualifications.

I would suggest reading Lefebvre's The Production of Space in this context. Lefebvre theorizes -- from a sophisticated Marxian view -- mental, physical and social space. This could help to complement the good Foucauldian suggestions by Moritz Ortegel. Another recommendation would be James Ferguson's work on the Zambian copperbelt.
