  Has anyone been playing with photosynth to create point clouds of small animals. I have had considerable success using it on Insects. Still have a long way to go as I am still not good enough withHas anyone been playing with photosynth to create point clouds of small animals. I have had considerable success using it on Insects. Still have a long way to go as I am still not good enough with meshlab and blender to complete my 3d models. Would love to hear some opinions and helpful hints from people who have tried this.

    Hey Benjamin I know the work you guys do in Jena it is awesome. I was actually thinking about applying for some money to come do some imaging there. The work I am doing is far from thatHey Benjamin I know the work you guys do in Jena it is awesome. I was actually thinking about applying for some money to come do some imaging there. The work I am doing is far from that advanced. I am actually working with a DSLR (with a macro lens) and a turntable. this allows me to take about 100-200 images around the insect and then create a point cloud that can be made into a model. Although µ-ct is the way to go this is a small pet project of mine, that if it works could make my life as a morphologist a lot easier..

We will have access to the Olympus OVI for some weeks. 2) I would like to visualise vascular oxidative stress using dihydroethidium previously used for staining of superoxide forming activity in tissues sections. When oxidised DHE forms ethidium or oxo-ethidium, which migrates into the nucleus and intercalates with DNA similar to a stained DNA agarose gel. In principle, an injection of DHE should be just fine. How do I control for heart and lung movements; which anaesthetic/narcotic do you recommend?
