Its primarily visual programing, which make things much easier since you just create a variaty of (visual) objects and then specify their relations/dynamics/functions. The program is very mature (looks like lots of money was invested) unlike many agent-based software (not that its a requirement but its nice), it enable 2D and 3D visualization. Best of all, its relatively easy for beginners, thought previously knowing java helps a lot (I didnt). It's very costly if you want to do official research with it, but for personal use you can get it on filetube.com.
