  What can I add or use in order to protect the ester bond from breaking down under acidic or basic conditions?

  I am trying to synthesis a prodrug that has an ester bond in it. I want the prodrug to pass through stomach acidity and intestinal basicity without destroying the ester bond that is present inI am trying to synthesis a prodrug that has an ester bond in it. Is there any protecting group that is designed to handle those extreme pH?

  I want to prepare granules of malt - can anyone suggest a method?

  I want to prepare granules of malt, but while doing this the malt extract is so sticky and hygroscopic that is very difficult to evaporate the water which is used for binding. Also, at more than 60I want to prepare granules of malt, but while doing this the malt extract is so sticky and hygroscopic that is very difficult to evaporate the water which is used for binding. Also, at more than 60 deg. cel. the malt gets melted and is difficult to dry to prepare granules.

  Activity of my antihypertensive compounds is in terms of pressure, how can I perform QSAR on these data not in form of an IC50 value?

  I have determined antihypertensive activity of my newly synthesised compounds, i.e. lowering of blood pressure in experimental animal. The results that I got are in units of pressure. Now how can II have determined antihypertensive activity of my newly synthesised compounds, i.e. lowering of blood pressure in experimental animal. The results that I got are in units of pressure. Now how can I go for QSAR of these compounds with this activity? Is there any way of conversion of these values to Ic50 value or any other option?

  Have you ever run into an easy way to tag a small molecule? Namely vancomycin with something easy to track so I can quantify how much is covalently bound to a specific part of the body... So far I have seen immunoflourescent tags (antibodies to vanco), trying to release it and use HPLC or GC/MS, antibacterial activity, but all of those seem very involved. I was thinking somebody should have developed a radiolabel or something that can be tracked and quantified easily, and is commercially available, say vanco with tritium or something like that...

But all these measures puritanical and rather retrograde contrast front with the news coming from that country where a group of doctors and nurses have been brought to justice when found suspicious the death of patients who were terminally ill, but mysteriously his time of agony were accelerated, while patients were in several of the largest hospitals in the country, given that it appears in the illegal practice of what is called dignified death or euthanasia. So far no comment from any of the two situations, but it is hard to understand that a country with health professionals with the ability to accept the death of a patient and make it less painful and traumatic, seems to be completely illogical to think that they have blocked using this robotic device, which could be saving lives of many people who have some sort of condition treatable with Da Vinci.

    I think it does not have a sedative effect, because a pharmacophore of CNS Depressant is ureide group ( acyclic, like in bromisoval, cyclic, like in phenobarbital).
