The 1-D energy equation (incorrectly called 'extended Bernoulli equation'), you all refer to, is valid because the density of the flowing liquid is assumed to be constant. Consequently, pump only adds to the total head - exactly the amount called 'the pump head', which is rate of energy transfer divided my weight of the flowing liquid. Here is surprise for you. In most technical flows in reality we deal with two-phase flows, be it air, CO2 or nitrogen bubbles forced in, present due to the way the pipeline was prepped, or oozing in under temperature drop, or steam pockets forming when the temperature increases, or cavitation bubbles when the conduit has sharp turns or transitions. Therefore, for all practial purpouses the flow is somewhat COMPRESSIBLE, because these bubbles do shrink is size when the pressure in such a conduit increases. I have desinged a bunch of watermist extinguishers and other contraptions taking adavantage of this phenomenon. Look up Telesto, CeaseFire, JewelSaffire, Ogniochron water mist extinuguishers. My main problem was exactly the issue Mahmoud is referring to, people simply repeat like a mantra: 'water is incompresible, water is incompressible, water is incompressible' - case closed. Fact is it is not, it is an open question from an engineering standpoint!!!!!!

    In my opinion & to my knowledge I had witness that in two wheelers any make & any type of cycle, exhaust is always at right side only. Indeed it is suitability location as when we parked it we climb on vehicle from left only. & it does not provide any trouble as right side. Because ladies always sit on back seat & foot rest require there.

  I need to run a dynamic simulation to find the displacement vs time, velocity, acceleration etc. of a sliding member in an assembly.
