  fretting damage is encounted in number of environments such as in biological environments (dental, orthopadic implants,etc.) and industrial environment (aerospace, car and railway tracks,etc.) byfretting damage is encounted in number of environments such as in biological environments (dental, orthopadic implants,etc.) and industrial environment (aerospace, car and railway tracks,etc.) by combind action of mechanical load by small oscillatery movements (less than 100 micrometer) and corrosive media (for.ex.simulated body fluid solutions). the surface morphology and mechanism fretted damage, role of electrolyte solution, corrosion resistance of the biomaterials have to understand to know the materials behaviour in particular medium. surface modifications by surface engineering methods can help to reduce the fretting damage. i am very happy to discuss this kind of problem with great scientists. i welcome this approach to have a better idea in fretted damage

I am investigating the failures of metallic implants the surface chemistry and modification are the key areas to prevent fatigue, fretting, and Corrosion. Surface Modification is the better option to minimize these detrimental stimuli.
