  usually carps in himachal pradesh show poor recovery in village ponds/ carp farms in winters. Actually, the law is restricting the fish production in lakes because of the high level of pollution that was detected, not only in terms of water and bottom of the lakes, also because the scenery pollution. Because of this, and considering how fragile the fresh water ecosystems are, the idea in Chile is to use the lakes just for recreation, tourism and of course fishing that can be economically important for the development of the local communities.

    You can use Dichloran rose bengal chloramphenicol (DRBC) agar. Go for spread plating. Use potato dextrose agar or malt extract agar for further identification.

Even in neighbouring seasited farms affected by identical virus (sequencation of virus and phylogenetic analyses see Epidemics 3 (2011) 1-11 T.M. Lyngstad, M.J. Hjortaasa, A.B. Kristoffersena, T. Markussena, E.T. Karlsenb, M. Jonassen, P.A. Jansen: Use of Molecular Epidemiology to Trace Transmission Pathways for Infectious Salmon Anaemia Virus (ISAV) in Norwegian Salmon Farming), we experienced variation in mortality measured on daily basis in every affected farm in the northern cluster throughout the outbreak. Not just only between farm sites but also between different nets at the same site. If mortality is caused by infectious disease you would expect that the density of individuals at risk in the lake influences upon the result. But density of individuals in a lake will will differ from place to place within a lake and might be influenced by behavior for example. Behavior is influenced by species, age, food access, season, topography of the lake and surrounding waterways, and so on. These factors interact themselves too. It would be interesting to see if you are able to make some hypothesis to explain the variation you apparently have recognised, but I suppose even that will be a difficult task.

  We experienced mass mortality of fertilized brown trout eggs throughout the course of their development and virtually 90% of all offspring died at different developmental stages and/or were weak,We experienced mass mortality of fertilized brown trout eggs throughout the course of their development and virtually 90% of all offspring died at different developmental stages and/or were weak, small (eyed) or somewhat arrested in development. The few larvae that actually hatched were to great extent deformed. Thing is, that in the course of spawning of the rest of the fish (not controlled that stringently timewise), results were perfect! My question is if according to anyones experience it may be possible that we stripped the eggs too early from the females and they were underripe? I got to this explanation, since we used the fish right after a very short time (< 1 day) after we detected ovulation (i.e. could get eggs out of them more or less easily). Is this possible at all? If you have any information or ideas on this available i would be tremendously glad.

    hello, no feeding :) so the second one. Yes there are a lot of publications about other fish but ... i need a carp. but offcourse if anybody have something about other fresh water fish i can take ithello, no feeding :) so the second one.
