      I agree with Mohammed that without strict case criteria, it can never be known....and additionally, there are major issues with confounding which no-one has really addressed in preceding comments

    Can anyone tell me the difference between case-control study and a cross-sectional survey ?
    I think cross-sectional surveys must be representative of the targeted population (often leading to important sample sizes). Is it the same for case-control study ?
