    Mice should be anesthetised with isofluran and intubated( pedriatic bronila). They should be placed on the heating plate at 37,5 °C in a slightly rotated supine position under a dissecting microscope. Mechanical ventilation should be used to maintain respiratory rate of 135/min with pure oxygen mixed with 1,5 – 2,0 % isofluran. After skin incision, the left pectoral muscles should be prepared and retracted with 5/0 prolene suture. Thoracic cavity should be opened between the third and fourth intercostal space. Ribs should be retracted using small surgical retractor, and heart will be exposed. Bleeding will be controlled using electro cauterization. Pericardium should be cut open and permanent ligation of the descending branch of left coronary artery will be made 1,5mm under the tip of the left auricle using 8/0 silk suture. An effort should be invested to make similar infarct in all operated animals . Subsequently the intercostal space, muscles of the external thoracic wall and skin should be reattached using 6/0 polyester suture. Furthermore animals should be placed in incubator at 30 °C over night. All animals should receive 0,5ml saline intraperitonealy to compensate for the fluid loss and 0,1mg/kg of Temgesic (1:10) subcutaneously for analgesia. Administration of Temgesic should be repeated whenever animal manifested signs of pain.
