This of course, will reduce the size of paper as the references throughout the paper will be in numbers and also will be easier for the reader to read the paper without , let's say, confusion.Keywords should be limited and follow standardized indexing terms. What's about ethics (animal and human use).

I think the best way to evaluate a researcher is a closer look on his work. Not so much on the impact factor of his papers or himself but on structure and content of his or her articles and if he or her is making step by step progress in the respective field. When it comes to factors that we can measure I would prever the RG Score because it combines the impact of research publications with discussion and networking qualitiies of a person.

Well, Laxmi, in my country the mangrove are in delta of Arabian sea brackish water, however, under the influence of continues rains and flooding conditions they are exposed to fresh water conditions, similarly with high tide and drought conditions they are exposed to saline water of sea. i think protein profiling under these natural varied condition or simulation of these artificially may allow to identify salt tolerant proteins. on a limited number of plants, a patch that an be isolated you may add additional salt to get response over a long exposure.

Jai, you miss the point. No one (at least not me) is questioning the criticism of a poor scientific communication, based purely on its scientific content. The issue at stake is when the insults get personal, then it is something else. There are reviews that have been civil and still sent the right messages about the unacceptability of such articles, with recommendations for the right things to be done. That is how scientific conversations should be held (in my opinion). You will sometime wonder what makes some reviewers qualify to be reviewers, except they use their graduate students as is often speculated.

I found Adobe Illustrator to be the best for generating original art, and you don't need to be an artist. I use this for presentations, diagram art for papers, and posters. A bit pricey, but after learning a few simple tricks, it's very powerful.
