I am trying to remember who is best known for the idea of a crisis as a source/stimulus for social groups to coalesce. I can't remember either the sound bite/catchphrase, the author, or the context, but maybe this will sound familiar to someone.

The experts of paleoanthropology and paleontology, I have put some pictures of hominid tool in the files (Below the group picture). For protect the sites and the fossils, I hope you take your 2 or 3 minutes .I also welcome you to the hominid group. By the way, All fossils are from tow site. The name beginning with f is from first site. The name beginning with s is from second side. For experts I do not need to say anything. I can find them just because the sites have been destroyed by our city developing. The experts of paleoanthropology and paleontology know our city well.

Hello Alison. Thank you for the nice message. I am glad you enjoyed my comments. As you know, there was a recent mining catastrophe in Chile, South America. One of the comments made after the successful rescue effort (by the "boss" of the group) was that the trapped men had discussed the possibility of cannibalism upon death of a member. Alas--this human choice is still very much alive within so called modern man! Perhaps the need to survive outweighs the need to be "civilized". Russian prisoners (20th Century included) who planned escapes in the past often brought along a "cow". This was a group member who would be killed and eaten by the other criminals if they needed an "emergency" meal. As you probably know there are cultures throughout the world where the heart of an enemy was consumed to gain his courage. Also some societies ate parts of the bodies of dead family members. The question is "What might we ourselves do to survive?" Might we visit the theme of the American Donner Expedition? Hope this message has been a creative response.
