Article: The Heat Capacity and Thermodynamic Functions of Ternary Manganites DyMIMgMn2O6 (MI − Na, K, Cs) in the Temperature Range from 223 to 673 K

ABSTRACT: The solid-phase method is used to synthesize ternary manganites of composition DyMIMgMn2O6 (MI − Na, K, Cs); their X-ray investigation is performed to demonstrate that they all crystallize in orthorhombic system. Their heat capacity is determined experimentally in the range from 223 to 673 K, equations are derived which describe the dependences C p o ∼ ƒ(T), and the thermodynamic functions C p o , H o(T)−H o(298.15), S o(T), and Φ**(T) are calculated. ABSTRACT: The values of heat capacity of NdMeFe2O5 (Me is Li, Na, K, Cs) ferrites in the temperature range from 298 to 673 K are experimentally determined. Equations of the temperature dependence of heat capacity are derived and used to calculate the thermodynamic functions C p 0(T), S 0(T), H 0(T) - H 0 (298.15 K), and **(T) of ferrites in the range identified above.High Temperature 04/2004; 42(3):409-413. · 0.43 Impact Factor
