ABSTRACT: A detailed analysis has showed that the quantum secret sharing protocol based on the Grover algorithm (Phys Rev A, 2003, 68:
022306) is insecure. A dishonest receiver may obtain the full information without being detected. A quantum secret-sharing
protocol is presents here, which mends the security loophole of the original secret-sharing protocol, and doubles the information
capacity.

ABSTRACT: In this work, we demonstrated a fixed-point quantum search algorithm in the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) system. We constructed
the pulse sequences for the pivotal operations in the quantum search protocol. The experimental results agree well with the
theoretical predictions. The generalization of the scheme to the arbitrary number of qubits has also been given.

ABSTRACT: Here a fixed-point duality quantum search algorithm is proposed. This algorithm uses iteratively non-unitary operations and
measurements to search an unsorted database. Once the marked item is found, the algorithm stops automatically. This algorithm
uses a constant non-unitary operator, and requires N/4 steps on average (N is the number of data from the database) to locate the marked state. The implementation of this algorithm in a usual quantum
computer is also demonstrated.

ABSTRACT: The relativistic consistent angular-momentum projected shell model (ReCAPS) is used in the study of the structure and electromagnetic
transitions of the low-lying states in the N=Z nucleus 52Fe. The model calculations show a reasonably good agreement with the data. The backbending at 12+ is reproduced and the energy level structure suggests that neutron-proton interactions play important roles.

ABSTRACT: By using quantum bang-bang control technique, we studied the suppression of amplitude damping, or energy dissipation, in a
three-level atom in various configurations. We have explicitly given the bang-bang control groups in three different configurations,
and the pulse sequences for these bang-bang control operations.

ABSTRACT: The biggest obstacle for long distance quantum communication is the channel loss and the channel noise on photons. In this
paper, a method to solve this problem was analyzed using inspection and power insertion (IPI). It is proved that quantum communication
may be established over arbitrarily long distance using this technology. The amount of resources required is a polynomial
function of the distance. IPI is proposed as a general technique to prolong quantum secure direct communication where secret
messages are transmitted directly over a quantum channel.

ABSTRACT: An entanglement measure for multipartite pure states is formulated using the product of the von Neumann entropy of the reduced
density matrices of the constituents. Based on this new measure, all possible ways of the maximal entanglement of the triqubit
pure states are studied in detail and all types of the maximal entanglement have been compared with the result of ‘the average
entropy’. The new measure can be used to calculate the degree of entanglement, and an improvement is given in the area near
the zero entropy.
