[show abstract][hide abstract] ABSTRACT: In title complex, [Mn(C(2)N(3))(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)], the Mn(II) ion is coordinated in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry by six N atoms. Four of the N atoms are from two chelating bipyridine ligands and two are from a pair of cis-coordinated dicyanamide ligands. The dihedral angle formed by the mean planes of the bipyridine rings is 85.93 (14)°. The central N atom of one of the dicyanamide ligands was refined as disordered over two sites with equal occupancies.

Weak Cu⋯Cl inter-actions [2.793 (5) Å] result in the formation of a chain along the a axis.

The crystal packing exhibits short inter-molecular Ni⋯Ni distances of 3.273 (3) Å.

In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into chains propagating in . Weak inter-molecular π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.760 (3) and 3.723 (3) Å] further consolidate the packing.
