    ABSTRACT: In this report we discuss parameters of the receiver module at 30-32 GHz with down conversion. A new MMIC wideband low noise receiver chip XR1002 at 20-32 GHz is applied. The receiver module has waveguide input (WR28), video and IF outputs and compact dimensions suitable for multibeam focal plane array (FPA) applications at a solar radio telescope.

    ABSTRACT: Results of atmospheric opacity testing during Sun observations with multibeam solar radio telescope (MSRT) of Tuorla observatory, Finland at 22.2 GHz and 36.5 GHz are described. Radio astronomical and "tipping curve" methods of determination of atmospheric opacity during Sun tracking are compared. Characteristics of MSRT at 22.2 and 36.5 GHz are given.
