ABSTRACT: COMIQS (Commerce with MPEG-4 on the Internet with Quality of
Service) is a project within the EU ACTS (Advanced Communication
Technologies and Services) program. COMIQS develops a complete networked
multimedia system based on new standards coming from the Internet IETF,
ISO MPEG and Web3D standardization bodies. COMIQS system is based on
full MPEG-4 functionalities including video, audio and 3D graphics.
Networking solution uses MPEG-4 DMIF (Delivery Multimedia Integration
Framework) and the RTP/RTCP protocol's for multimedia data developed by
the IETF. COMIQS will integrate media server, network and terminal and
will perform technical tests based on two applications in the area of
commercial presentations
