    ABSTRACT: The condition of voltage stability in a power system can be characterized by the use of voltage stability indices. The voltage stability analyses were conducted on the IEEE 14 and IEEE 57 reliability test system, using several different scenarios of load increase. In this paper, a comparison of the performance of several indices is presented, with satisfactory results. In this paper will also present New Index to Voltage Collapse (NIVCP). NIVCP is a system index and see the all power system.

    ABSTRACT: Voltage collapse is a problem that occurs in heavily stressed systems. This paper compares the effectiveness of line stability indices in providing information about the proximity of voltage instability of a electrical power system. Line voltage stability indices can provide an accurate information of the stability condition of the lines of the system and can also determine the weakest bus in the system. The studied line stability indices are evaluated using the IEEE 14, IEEE 30 and IEEE 57 busbar test systems and, in this paper, will be shown the potential applications of these indices.

    ABSTRACT: Voltage instability is a critical problem that can lead to a total system collapse. This paper discusses some important aspects related to voltage stability indices in electrical power systems. These indices were tested in IEEE 14 and 57 busbar test systems, with satisfactory results.
