    ABSTRACT: Through calculation and research about energy consumption and pollutant discharge of the centralized heat-supply system reforming, we have calculated reductions of the pollutant emissions. The result of calculations shows that district heating energy-saving transformation can reduce 51563.4 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, 7.6 tons of soot emissions, 22.5 tons of SO2 emissions and 165.3 tons of NOX emissions. With the calculation, the economic benefit for the reductions of pollutant can be got. And it is shown that the project has huge environmental benefits.

    ABSTRACT: The production of electric and electronic equipment is one of the fastest growing areas. This development has resulted in an increase of waste household electrical appliances (WHEA). In view of the environmental problems involved in the management of WHEA, many counties and organizations have drafted national legislation to improve the reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery of such wastes so as to reduce disposal. The existing recycling system (direct way to material recycling) is one solution for both saving materials and reducing environmental impact. But the recycled value is very limited and loosing values of used HEA. The purpose of this paper is intended to have clear picture on the demand of second hand market of used HEA to propose optimal recycling system in China. In this paper, market research on used HEA in eastern part of China is presented. The market research was held in Liaoning province, Jilin province, Helongjiang province, Hebei province and Beijing city in 2008. The used HEA related to the research covers with computers, TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, air-conditioners, video recorders, radios and mobile phones, etc. From the market research data and based on Chinese economic disparity condition, a new scheme (HEA ⇒Used HEA ⇒ Second-hand HEA ⇒ Refurbished HEA ⇒ Used HEA ⇒ Wasted HEA) is proposed for Chinese Used HEA, be differential from developed countries for example as Japan or European Unions.

    ABSTRACT: Eastern China has a vast land area with a long coastline, presenting a possible wind resource. But the use of the wind renewable energy to generate electric power is still on a small scale, because of the large upfront investment and lower internal rate of return. In this paper, the project of wind farm is used as a Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) case to reveal the mitigation cost per unit CO<sub>2</sub>. This investigation is based on baseline and incremental cost analysis. The case study has been made with capacity of 30MW wind power project. It is shown that development of wind farm is feasible in the eastern coast of China. The establishment and operation of the proposed project activity will promote the wind farm technology and utilization. It can also achieve the greenhouse gas emission reductions and promote the sustainable development at the local areas.

    ABSTRACT: In other to analyze the regular pattern of the electric characteristic with the parametric variation of the electrode configuration, experiments of the I-V characteristic and current density of both nine kinds of conventional corona wires and three types of the longer discharge spine electrode are respectively tested by means of CAT under the two conditions that different types of corona electrodes are placed in the same electrode spacing and the same corona electrode are placed in different sizes of the electrode spacing. From the analysis and comparison of finished experimental results we can confirm that the superiority of applying the longer discharge spine electrode to the wider electrode spacing electrostatic precipitator is obvious, and this research provides a theoretical basis for further improving the collecting efficiency of the electrostatic precipitator.
