    ABSTRACT: Ilio-psoas abscess is rare in children and exceptional in the neonate. This report describes a case of idiopathic ilio-psoas abscess in a neonate with no etiologic factor known. The diagnosis was made by ultrasonography and computed axial tomography. The treatment was extraperitoneal surgical drainage and systemic antibiotics.
