    ABSTRACT: The solution of the conditional extremum problem by Lagrange’s method of undetermined coefficients under fuzzy constraints on the expenditure function was proposed. The problem is solved by using a special example of the availability maximization of a double-link communication system. A disadvantage of the solution is pointed out, and problems for further study are stated.

    ABSTRACT: Contrary to the popular in the technical literature quantitative representation of entropy as a measure of the uncertainty of the occurrence of random events, its estimation is proposed based on the density and probability distribution functions. Constructing them using approximation methods is shown. At the core of the construction, the method of moments is used. In applied terms, two problems for the research of the transfer properties of a device with a constant and random coefficient of transmission are solved.

    ABSTRACT: A model is proposed that describes the consideration of the control of the reliability in renewable systems such that the consideration is applied to determine the moment a system’s failure happens and its repair should take place. The presented model differs from the known models in the fact that the magnitude of the probability of the failure detection is multiplied by the magnitude of the leading function among the functions of the repair probability. The leading function is called the repair resource. Thus, the magnitude of the probability of the correct control determines the magnitude of the repair resource. This means that it also controls the magnitude of the regeneration period for a random process of the repaired system.

    ABSTRACT: A mathematical model for individual prediction of the state of a human being is proposed. The model is based on knowledge of the realization of behavior (governing state parameter) of the human being. An analytic description of this realization is given. It is used in predicting the state of a human being by means of a well-known, highly developed mathematical apparatus. The method may be recommended for the study, prediction, and preventive and medical treatment of patients in the medicine field.

    ABSTRACT: An attempt is made to study the relation of the Sedyakin statistical reliability life to the reliability life of a concrete article, in other words, to establish a relationship between the behavior of articles in a group and in an individualized form. A formal mathematical analogy of the two models is established. A physical interpretation of the concept of “residual reliability life” of an article is given. Recommendations for the prediction of the state of an individual article are formulated. The article is published for purposes of discussion.

    ABSTRACT: A study of the response to a random input signal of the simplest operator with constant transfer factor in a direct channel where there is negative feedback present is carried out. It is shown that feedback in the channel exerts a positive influence on the information properties of the output quantity. It is suggested that the results of the study can be recommended for the construction of reliable computations in future computers and other information systems.
