    ABSTRACT: Banknote sorter is a kind of machine for paper currency, which is applied to sorting, separating, discriminating, recording, statisticsing, seeking out deformity and choosing cash for ATM. It is a high-tech financial processing device integrated with optics, mechanics, electronics and software. This paper introduces the structures, features and functions of multination banknote sorting system and emphasizes on the design methods on image scanning, image processing and image recognizing. The design processes include the introduction of mechanical structure, the design of system hardware, the sampling method of multispectral image, the arithmetics of image processing and recognizing, and the construction of banknote tracing system.

    ABSTRACT: LED lighting, as a new type of lighting, has already been widely used. High reliability LED depends on drive control circuit to obtain steady electric current to make LED lighting more stable and uniform. In this paper, anti-surge and EMC were designed on the basis of LED high reliability power supply. In order to simplify the circuit and achieve good power factor and efficiency, a 15W flyback power was also designed by using chip LNK406EG. Experiments verified that the power supply made in this paper can get good power factor, small loss, steady output and high efficiency.

    ABSTRACT: According to the characteristics of gray image, histogram equalization, image smoothing, image sharpening and Wavelet transform for image processing are adopted, and the improved algorithm to make up some limitations and shortcomings are used in this paper. By analyzing the experimental results, the range of applications of the different enhancement algorithms are obtained.

    ABSTRACT: With the rapid development of computer network and electronic information technology, automatic and intelligent electronic products play roles that can not replaced by people themselves. Reading technology is a new technology that is applied in remote automatic data collection, transmission and processing for water, electricity, gas supply and management system, etc. Hardware of wireless communication system based on GPRS was designed for remote automatic meter reading in this paper. The module supports UDP communication protocols, and can transmit remote data by the methods of messaging and network communications.

    ABSTRACT: Moving objects tracking is the important content in the field of computer vision and is also the basic for the constituent work such as behavior comprehension, etc.. Moving objects tracking has wide applications in many fields. This paper tracked the moving car and pedestrian at real time based on Kalman filter. Experiment results showed that the Kalman filter can accurately estimate parameters of the object,such as the next position and velocity etc., which will offer much more facilities to the followed works like correspondence matching and so on.

    ABSTRACT: Image gathering and transmission system is the important part of banknote sorts and should have high properties of real-time and steady reliability. With the development and the popularization of Internet, more embedded system should support the function of Internet. The traditional TCP/IP protocol is too complex and takes too much resource. This paper designed a new banknote image gathering and transmission system. At the hardware aspect, it realized a banknote image gathering and transmission system with many expansion interfaces, based on the Texas Instrument Incorporated (TI)'s Davinci dual-core processor TMS320DM6446.     ABSTRACT: In the movement of multiple robots, the robot formation is one of the important attributes of colony activities. It has an important significance to recognize robot formations for evaluating the spot situation and making decisions. A new algorithm is proposed in this paper for recognition of robot linear formations. On the basis of pre-processing, (that is, each robot is segmented from the spot and expressed with center of mass which is binarized), the property is extracted by Hough transform. In the end, formation recognition is realized by dot matching according to the affine transform and particle swarm optimization (PSO). The simulation shows that the algorithm is effective.

    ABSTRACT: This paper proposes algorithms of image features extaction and identification by using seeking optimization capability of ant colony algorithm. The feature vectors of the identified images are regarded as the inputs of ant colony algorithm based on the information entropy. By the algorithms proposed by this paper, the features which cost the least time and whose identification effect are the best are selected under the precondition of identifying images correctly and then the images are identified. Experiments show that the algorithms are effective.

    ABSTRACT: A multi-objective mathematical model and an improved Genetic Algorithm (GA) are formulated for storage location assignment of the fixed rack system. According to the assignment rules, the optimization aim is to maximize the storage/retrieval efficiency and to keep the stability of the rack system. The improved GA with Pareto optimization and Niche Technology are developed. The approach considers Pareto solution sets with the traditional operators, while the Niche Technology distributes the solutions uniformly in Pareto solution sets. The realization of the approach ensures storage location assignment optimization and offers a dynamic decision making scheme for automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS).

    ABSTRACT: A banknote orientation recognition method is introduced in the paper. In order to avoid dealing with large numbers of image pixels and reduce calculation, the banknote image is divided into several blocks. And then, neural network is applied to establish a universal recognition method. Different banknote can get corresponding model through BP network that is introduced in detail in the paper.
