Article: Two new chalcone glycosides from the stems of Entada phaseoloides.
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: Two new chalcone glycosides 4'-O-(6″-O-galloyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl)-2',4-dihydroxychalcone (1) and 4'-O-(6″-O-galloyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl)-2'-hydroxy-4-methoxychalcone (2) together with one known chalcone glycoside 4'-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-2'-hydroxy-4-methoxychalcone (3) were isolated from the stems of Entada phaseoloides. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis, including HSQC, HMBC, (1)H-(1)H COSY, and chemical evidences. This is the first report of chalcone-type compounds isolated from the genus Entada.Fitoterapia 07/2011; 82(7):1102-5. · 1.85 Impact Factor -
Article: A novel anthocyanidin glycoside from the rhizomes of Abacopteris penangiana.
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: A novel anthocyanidin glycoside, abacopterin J (1), together with the known eruberin B (2) and eruberin C (3) was isolated from the fern Abacopteris penangiana (Hook.) Ching. The structure of the new compound 1 was elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis, including HSQC, HMBC, ((1))H-((1))H COSY and ROESY, and chemical evidence. Abacopterin J is the first example of an anthocyanidin glycoside isolated from natural sources, which is comprised of a flavan and an anthocyanidin moiety.Fitoterapia 12/2010; 81(8):1171-5. · 1.85 Impact Factor -
Article: Two new acetylated flavan glycosides from rhizomes of the fern Abacopteris penangiana.
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: Two new acetylated flavan glycosides (2S,4R)-4,5,7-trihydroxy-4'-methoxy-6,8-dimethylflavan-5-O-β-D-6-acetylglucopyranoside-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1) and (2S,4R)-5,7-dihydroxy-4,4'-dimethoxy-6,8-dimethylflavan-5-O-β-D-6-acetylglucopyranoside-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2) were isolated from the rhizomes of Abacopteris penangiana. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods including IR, HR-ESI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR, and chemical evidences.Journal of Asian natural products research 12/2010; 12(12):1015-9. · 0.61 Impact Factor -
Article: [Two new flavan glycosides from Abacopteris penangiana].
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: To study the chemical constituents of Abacopteris penangiana (Hook.) Ching, various chromatographic techniques were used to isolate and purify the constituents. The structures of the obtained compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic data and physical-chemical properties. Two compounds were isolated from the n-BuOH soluble fraction of an acetone-H2O (4:1) extract of A. penangiana and were identified as 4'-hydroxy pneumatopterin B (I) and 6"-O-acetyl triphyllin A (II). Compounds I and II are new compounds.Yao xue xue bao = Acta pharmaceutica Sinica 05/2008; 43(4):392-5. -
Article: Antioxidant flavonoid glycosides from aerial parts of the fern Abacopteris penangiana.
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: Five new flavan-4-ol glycosides, abacopterins E-I ( 5- 9), and seven known flavonoid glycosides ( 3 and 10- 15) were isolated from the aerial parts of the fern Abacopteris penangiana. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis, including HSQC, HMBC, (1)H- (1)H COSY, and ROESY, and chemical evidence. The isolated glycosides were evaluated for their antioxidant activity using the TEAC assay, and compounds 3, 5- 8, 10, 11, 14, and 15 showed TEAC values of 1.03-1.91 mM.Journal of Natural Products 11/2007; 70(10):1683-6. · 3.13 Impact Factor -
Article: Flavan-4-ol Glycosides from the Rhizomes of Abacopteris penangiana.
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: Four new flavan-4-ol glycosides, abacopterins A-D (1-4), were isolated from a methanol extract of the rhizomes of Abacopteris penangiana, together with two known compounds, triphyllin A (5) and 6,8-dimethyl-7-hydroxy-4'-methoxyanthocyanidin-5-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (6). Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis and chemical methods. The cytotoxic activity of 1-5 against HepG2 human hepatoma cells was investigated.Journal of Natural Products 03/2006; 69(2):265-8. · 3.13 Impact Factor
