Article: Isomorphous tetrazolate MnII and CoII compounds built on Δ-chain showing different magnetic behaviors.
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: As a continuation of the study on using the tetrazolate ligands to construct coordination polymers, two isomorphous 3D coordination polymers built on Δ-chain topological rod-shaped SBUs have been synthesized with formulae [M(2)(μ(3)-OH)L(1)L(2)](n) (5-amino-1H-tetrazole (HL(1)), 2,3-pyrazinedicarboxylic acid (H(2)L(2)) and different 3d spin carriers (M = Mn(II), 1 and Co(II), 2)). The SBU consists of corner-sharing [M(3)(μ(3)-OH)] isosceles triangle motifs with mixed multiple (μ(4)-tetrazolyl, μ(3)-OH, syn-syn carboxylate) bridges. The SBUs were further linked by syn-anti carboxylates to form the sra net. Spin-competing was observed in the Mn(II) compound, whereas the Co(II) compound exhibits spin-canting.Dalton Transactions 11/2011; 40(44):11955-9. · 3.84 Impact Factor -
Article: Magnetic behavior control in niccolite structural metal formate frameworks [NH2(CH3)2][Fe(III)M(II)(HCOO)6] (M = Fe, Mn, and Co) by varying the divalent metal ions.
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: By changing template cation but introducing trivalent iron ions in the known niccolite structural metal formate frameworks, three complexes formulated [NH(2)(CH(3))(2)][Fe(III)M(II)(HCOO)(6)] (M = Fe for 1, Mn for 2, and Co for 3) were synthesized and magnetically characterized. The variation in the compositions of the complexes leads to three different complexes: mixed-valent complex 1, heterometallic but with the same spin state complex 2, and heterometallic heterospin complex 3. The magnetic behaviors are closely related to the divalent metal ions used. Complex 1 exhibits negative magnetization assigned as Néel N-Type ferrimagnet, with an asymmetric magnetization reversal in the hysteresis loop, and complex 2 is an antiferromagnet with small spin canting (α(canting) ≈ 0.06° and T(canting) = 35 K), while complex 3 is a ferrimagnet with T(N) = 32 K.Inorganic Chemistry 10/2010; 49(22):10390-9. · 4.60 Impact Factor -
Article: A New Azido-Nickel Compound with Three-Dimensional Kagomé Topology
[show abstract] [hide abstract]
ABSTRACT: A new azido-NiII complex constructed from nicotinate has been obtained by cation−anion pairs as templates under hydrothermal conditions, which exhibits three-dimensional Kagomé topology and ferromagnetic coupling.06/2010;
